Bio:
TEASER was formed in 1984 and quickly rose to the top of the Oklahoma music scene. In the fall of 1987 the band relocated to Los Angeles where they performed at all of the famous Music Venues along the Sunset Strip. When the Hair Metal days faded away the band members all made their way back home to Oklahoma. Vocalist Mike Pierce became an aviation specialist, Guitarist Tim Chisholm became an Oklahoma City Firefighter. Bassist John Gray became a Police Detective & S.W.A.T. Team Leader for the city of Warr Acres, OK. Drummer Greg Calkins became a Stage Manager for World Classis Rockers, and a licensed arms dealer. Music brought them together and forged a life-long brotherhood that will never be broken! Throughout the years the guys from TEASER were fortunate to share the stage with a virtual who’s who of rock royalty including: Motley Crue, Poison, Skid Row, RATT, Tesla, DIO, Stryper, Pantera, White Lion, Bullet Boys, Firehouse, L.A. Guns, Saxon and many more…
Album:
FnA Records has unearthed yet another lost recording from the late ’80s, Oklahoma hard rockers TEASER never before heard album ”You Promised Me Heaven…’‘, and we’re featuring it exclusively on our blog. When others promise what they don’t have, we deliver…TEASER was formed in 1984 and quickly rose to the top of the Oklahoma rock music scene. In the fall of 1987 the band relocated to Los Angeles where they performed at all of the famous music venues along the Sunset Strip.Throughout the years the guys from TEASER were fortunate to open / share the stage with a virtual who’s who of rock royalty including: Motley Crue, Poison, Skid Row, RATT, Tesla, DIO, Stryper, White Lion, Bullet Boys, and many more.TEASER recorded several demos for shopping labels and some companies were interested to sign them, but in the overcrowded L.A. scene many fine bands ended with empty hands. Musically these guys were like a mix of SLAUGHTER, early SKID ROW, HERICANE ALICE, FIREHOUSE, etc, with strong songs such as the hard hitting ‘Go for Your Guns’, title track ‘You Promised Me Heaven…’, the punchy ‘Sweet Revenge’, or the killer rocker ‘The Devil Made Me Do It’ full of gang vocals and street attitude.TEASER continued playing the West Coast until the American rock industry changed. Then band members all made their way back home to Oklahoma. Vocalist Mike Pierce became an aviation specialist, Guitarist Tim Chisholm became an Oklahoma City Firefighter. Bassist John Gray became a Police Detective & S.W.A.T. Team Leader for the city of Warr Acres, OK. Drummer Greg Calkins became a Stage Manager for World Classic Rockers, and a licensed arms dealer.Music brought them together and forged a life-long brotherhood that will never be broken, as the band reunite sporadically to play some shows.
