Bio:
HELLHAIM - born in 2010 in Warsaw.Since 2012, HELLHAIM regularly performs, among others, from Eris Is My Homegirl, Hetman, Chainsaw, Spirits Way, Frontside, etc.Music HELLHAIM oscillates around the broadly understood heavy metal.
Album:
Hellhaim founded in 2008 in Warsaw and one of its suburbs and has since survived many a line-up change. The search for the right line-up should also be the main reason that it took a whole 7 years to get out with "In the Dead of the Night" a first EP. Luckily after that, it did not take quite as long, but still 2 drummers, until you could / wanted to release the debut album "Slaves of Apocalypse".Musically, Hellhaim consciously give himself traditional and mix classic heavy metal with NWOBHM. The production is a lot better than on the debut EP and so it is not surprising that the songs of the five come along much more powerful and energetic therefore. Thundering aggression with Thrash bonds meets Speed Metal outings and pours into epic, direct heavy metal known from Judas Priest or Iron Maiden. Of course you know that, but the guys here and there are always throwing in influences that you would have expected on other albums. For example, the title track comes with deep growls, and also lets musical light-time through slight Death Metal influences shimmer, while "Annelise (The Exorcist)" (which is initiated by the sublime oriental ambient track "Golgotha") as a sporty Speed Metal Number comes up and "Ghost of Salem" ends the album with a rather gloomy chunk. Somehow, there is something of everything without the band moving away from their basic sound, turning the album into an epic journey through Metal history. On "Slaves of Apocalypse", Hellhaim impressively bring classic heavy metal into the 21st century, mixing it with a number of small and big influences, and thus creating an epic, aggressive and always surprising work, that spans bridges to other genres again and again to dilute his sound. Treat yourself.
