FLITCRAFT is the project of Australian hard rock / heavy metal musician Phillip T. King. Last seen on vocals and guitar in 70’s influenced psych-rockers BUTTERFLY, and on vocals in traditional / speed metallers GALAXY, King’s new project falls somewhere in between those previous musical adventures. Part heavy and part lite, part psychedelic and part progressive; FLITCRAFT is strange, yet familiar music, for strange, yet familiar times.

Melbourne rock / heavy metal band Flitcraft return in 2025 with their third full length album "Transmission Echo".Partnering again with Pitch Black Records for CD / LP / Digital release, “Transmission Echo” continues to define the mission statement of Flitcraft. The music remains as adventurous as ever, yet still retaining melodies and rhythms you can grasp. The sci-fi, existentialist tinged lyrics are rife with themes of life and death, time and space, and pondering the great unknown.“Transmission Echo” contains the band’s most distilled work so far, with clear and powerful production. Rockers like “Talus” and “Bottleneck” have riffs to shake you, while catchy numbers “Lara” and “Beside the Point” have sing-along refrains that will be with you long after the LP leaves your turntable. The album’s centerpiece is the ten minute prog-rock behemoth “Years.” With lyrics based on a character’s journey into the heart of space to meet a creature in control of time itself, the song has the right amount of musical twists and turns to properly illustrate this epic tale. In keeping with heroes such as Wishbone Ash and Pink Floyd, the closing title track is a sprawling ballad that balances this album and brings it home.Flitcraft is music to lift your fist into the air and your mind into the ether.
