Athena is a metal band from Pisa, Italy, formed in (1991).The name was chosen after the greek goddess of wisdom, handicraft, and warfare.After the release of their first demo in 1993 some members (including the future Labÿrinth and Rhapsody of Fire singer Fabio Lione) left and the band underwent its first line-up change. Dracma Records included their latest song recorded, "Crystal Eyes", in their "Night Pieces III" compilation and Athena started to work on "Inside, the Moon".Fabio Lione has become a household name in the Metal scene over the last 25 years. When ATHENA XIX first appeared, they released 3 critically accliamed and beloved albums before Lione had to focus his talent completely on Rhapsody and Angra.Now ATHENA XIX are back with "Everflow Part 1: Frames Of Humanity" and beckon you to follow them on a travel through the human subconcious. The album includes high ranking guests like ex-Kamelot and current Conception vocalist Roy Khan.
