This madness began in my hometown, Ermua, back in 1985. Five friends formed a Heavy Metal band called METRALLA, which would later be renamed AFTERSHOCK, and after many, many, many rehearsals, we took the project live. The first concert of my career was in Cenicero (La Rioja), great memories. The second one in Ermua, was unforgettable, imagine, a concert in the 80's (the golden decade of Heavy Metal) with a pack of 300 metalheads chanting my name and the band's name, fuck, it still makes my hair stand on end, one of the best days of my life. That was the key moment in my life that determined that I'm still on stage. After many concerts, we prepared the entrance to the studio to record the first demo at Amadeus Studios (San Sebastian), later we recorded another song for a compilation of bands at Lorentzo Recors Berriz Studios (Bizkaia).When AFTERSHOCK disappeared as a band, I joined a project with the band UTM from Vitoria, which had an album and a certain prestige at a national level.The next stop on this trip was the group DEFCOM (Bilbao) with whom after some time we recorded a self edited demo. In this band I met my great friend Chefy, with whom I would later spend many years in the band VALHALLA, but that will be another story.I was contacted by the guitarist from Madrid Miguel Angel Ortiguela, leader of the band AL BORDE, with the purpose of signing me as vocalist for a project that was starting, but with great regret I had to refuse the offer for personal reasons (at that time I could not stay long periods of time away from my home), but I committed myself to give him a cable to finish and record the album he was composing, doing composition, production and recording work. It was a work of (pre-study), recording and layout of all the songs that later would serve for the final recording after closing the formation of the band.Valhalla - This is the project with which I have spent the most time, evolved the most and, above all, enjoyed the most. During the years we were active, we toured all over the country and played numerous concerts with most of the top national bands. We were also part of glorious nights with international bands such as METAL CHURCH, AXXIS, RIOT, GAMMA RAY.Patxa is a solo project which aims to bring a more Heavy Metal vision than Ad Eternum. Currently the project is in the process of recording and composing, in January 26th 2024 the first single was released and in April the second advance will be released, waiting then until September of this year for the LP to see the light. This same year the presentation will take place with a live show in Bilbo, after that the band and I will hit the road to present it nationally.

Just Heavy Metal is the name of PATXA's debut solo album, a declaration of intent. A concept album that captures the passion, attitude and the occasional vindication of the world of music and specifically of Heavy Metal in the lyrics of its songs. A direct album without complexes that tries to promote the genre and in which the singer deploys all his artillery to show that this genre is more alive than ever.With this album he wants to show his particular vision of music with an album of pure Heavy Metal, using all the weapons of classic Heavy, but lowering the flag of modern metal with rhythms and cuts of the new school.On the album he uses vocals with a multitude of registers, high-pitched vocals with powerful screams, crossed with aggressive bass vocals and mixing cuts that could have come out of any heavy ballad, accompanied by arpeggiated guitars or pianos of the classic school.The album is conceptual, its lyrics talk about the music and different themes encompassed in Metal. From its already classic epic approach, the tracks talk about the music Honey Drops, the difficulty of the metal girls to get to play in a band Ladies and Queens, the atmosphere of brotherhood and energy that is breathed in the Metal festivals Where Dreams Take Wing, song dedicated to the followers of this genre Children Of Metal, songs that recall heavy legends like Ronnie J. Dio Sacred Elf or Randy Rhoads in the Steel Soul punteo, or a unification of styles to remember in their lyrics the most extreme genres of Metal United Our Spirits Fly and of course, their most intimate vision that talks about the feeling that the music awakens in their own flesh My Spirit Ablaze.In this context, the album cover shows a rocker symbolising Heavy Metal, intertwining his hands with the music, symbolised by a female image with crystal wings and with the treble and bass clef tattooed on her hands.
