Rising Steel is a band from Grenoble (France) whose reputation among the French heavy metal landscape has been growing since its creation in 2012. Largely influenced by the 80's NWOBHM scene, the band delivers a solid and powerful metal music, legacy of the great Priest’s and Maiden’s spirits. Heavy metal is the Law !Their first 4-track EP “Warlord” was released on late 2014 and led them to share the stage with internationaly renowned bands such as Sister Sin, Crucified Barbara and even to open for ADX at the Rising Fest (Dijon, France).This self-produced EP received good critics and reviews on national and international medias and so did the videoclip of the eponymous song “Warlord”.Building upon this first success, 2015 was a year spent working on new material. So on the early 2016 they hit the [bon nom de studio]studio to record a 10-track album with Antonin Chardonnereau, the same engineer who recorded the EP.For the vocal parts, the band decided to work with legendary Norwegian producer Terje Refsnes (Carpathian Forest, Nightmare, Turisas ..) at the Soundsuite Studio in Marseille (France).The mastering part will be carried out by Audiosiege (Portland ,USA) with Brad Boatright (Corrosion Of Conformity, Black Tusk ...), who specializes in extreme music and metal mastering.This explosive blend gives this upcoming record a crushing sound and reveals the sharpness of the band's new songs, which will no doubt conquer a large audience !

RISING STEEL are taking the formula of old Heavy Metal and nailing down the rules. This is how it’s done, this is who you should be looking up to. Taking hints from the best like IRON MAIDEN, ICED EARTH and JUDAS PRIEST and perfecting the formula they made.From the introduction of “Breaking the Silence” right until the guitars fall silent at the end of “Hell’s Control”, RISING STEEL are expanding their power with each song. While the first note sung in “Breaking the Silence” really does break the Silence with how high and unexpected it is, the vocal style for the most part is much more powerful with a hint of rasp. The Vocalist Fabrice Cassaro reminds me of is Ronnie James Dio. The delivery and his style are very similar, although Dio did have a habit of hitting a higher note than Cassaro generally does.Instrumentally, especially in song like “Evil Master” and even more prominently in “Rising Steel”, is actually very much the same as JUDAS PRIEST. The catchy and original riffs with little “look what I can do” portions mixed in are a lot like what K.K. Downing wrote.Powerful, destructive and original. RISING STEEL could very well be the new age JUDAS PRIEST and if they continue to grow, could easily reach the status the likes of ICED EARTH and even PRIEST have. “Return of the Warlord” expands on the bands debut EP, “Warlord”, in every way and definitely made the band go from “great” to incredible!
