This early 90's Canadian group, from Ottawa, Ontario unfortunately released only 1 CD. Hyp-Selfnosis is filled with well written and melodic tunes. The high point being the extraordinary vocals of Charlie Thompson, the band's principle songwriter, lead vocalist and guitarist. The group toured quite actively during the late 80's to mid 90's in both Canada and the US.Originating in Canada and with good vibes Hardrockera promising but with a hint of melodic and this being their only album incorporated a very solid voice, although I admit that the band has a strong resemblance to Harem Scarem, heavily influenced by riffs and choruses far removed from the hard rock.Sound promising, good songs and plenty of attitude!!The ballad "I The Clown" that good spectacular romantic vibe !! One thing to add this band reunited in 2008 to reissue that past and record the unique disc of a beautiful band "Atlantic-Power (1994)" of the UK.

Great mix of AOR & melodic hard rock.And you can usually find it for pretty cheap too.This is a good melodic hard rock release. Good sound, good vocals, good songs and overall a good solid melodic hard rock CD. 'Bed of roses' is my fave, but there is nothing too bad on this one at all. Not groundbreaking, but at a decent price I'd highly recommend it.'Bed of roses' has a killer hook and especially the last song - not a fave, but I think these guys know a pretty solid hook when they meet one. Good solid stuff.Highly recommended!!!
