BLESSED by the secret of steel and fury called Heavy Metal, FEANOR was formed in early July 1996. After some rehearsals the songs "On Wings of Storm", "North Star" and "Your Suffering Is Very Slow "they were born. However, due to the difficulty of finding musicians with enough balls FEANOR recently debuted live at the Marquee on November 26, 1998, a great show full of power!After presenting numerous recitals in Buenos Aires and the rest of the country, the band enters the studio for the recording of which was his first demo On Wings Of Tempest including 5 songs which received very good reviews both nationally and in the Foreign. During this period, more lineup changes occurred.With these reinforcements, the group continued performing live on their land and sharing the stage with numerous bands from the local scene and generating links of steel with international groups such as Virgin Steele, Wizard, Steel Warrior, Sacred Steel, Twisted Tower Dire, Anorimori, Battleroar, Wotan among many others.Then, duty calls, the time comes to enter the studio again! The name of your second demo album is This Is For You, which is edited "OFFICIALLY" and is dedicated to the public the True Metal City Bahia Blanca, who supported the bellicose band during the toughest moments of his career. This recording also represents a gift of extra power with the collaboration of Sven D'Anna, the German band Wizard, as the leading voice on "Houses of Fire" -Casas del Fuego (the voice for this track was recorded on well known and respectable "Youngblood Professional Studio in Germany".Thanks to this work the band manages to enter the European market, breaking the sales record of the Greek label PORT SECRET RECORDS, and starting in this way the bond with the seal.It is at this time when FEANOR includes "This is for you" song in "Metallic Brotherhood Vol. 1" edited by Metal Fanzine of Argentina, then continue this tradition in all previous editions of this prestigious publication.More concerts came, and once again, Gustavo and his Brothers of Metal demonstrated their incredible skill with weapons instrumental forcing a lot of fake running like rats !!The controversial FEANOR attitude earned them a lot of enemies but the pure and true heart of this young institution obtained the alliance of the Community of True Metal, and that was when all the traitors and false were a little worried.Without denying its Epic Metal style that characterizes a band like FEANOR, the group continued performing and spreading his second demo CD This is for you all Bs. Just for the sake of Metal, just for the sake of Steel.In 2003 a new battle shone on the horizon. A new Test Steel and the opportunity to dethrone the infidels rising to a higher level occurs again !!!.The turbulent fury of FEANOR began preparing the material of what was their great debut album. However after 3 nights of frantic recording a sequence of events that would fail to ordinary mortal bands is merciless with FEANOR, it is how after recording the foundation of 13 Hymns steel father guitarist Flavio Bianchi dies thereupon said musician left the band, supported by drummer Emiliano Wach, who moves away from music for purely personal reasons, immediately the inevitability of the death of the father Gustavo Feanor Acosta, as well as that of the studio owner Jerry Guiardino adds .After such shocks, long tapes remain captive in the recording studio until much effort are taken from the site for restoration and completion.In this way 12 tracks of more roaring steel saw the light, with the participation this time the leader of the German band MAJESTY "Tarek Magharty" playing the guitar solo in the song "Too slow is your suffering" and Facundo Coral (Paul Gillman) taking over the heavy task of guitar solos work is completed in the study "the Oseberg ship."Released in Europe and distributed worldwide through Secret Port Records, properly the name of this album is "INVINCIBLE" including the clip of the song "North Star" as bonus CD.The album devastates in Europe and the first edition sells out quickly, excellent reviews raining down from all over the globe !.

Look no further, Feanor offers all this and more. The band has been around since summer 1996 and has released numerous successful and well praised demos/EPs and two studio albums.Feanor are no strangers when it comes to live shows, and the common bond of friendship and never-ending passion for metal between the band and the fans makes Feanor an unstoppable force.The band's upcoming album, We Are Heavy Metal, is the first record in the band's history that's sung entirely in English, and will be released later this year via Massacre.FEANOR launches their third studio album called "WE ARE HEAVY METAL" six years after the previous one. Different from the other two firsts, this one is entirely singed in English. The band name was inspired by a character of J. R. R. Tolkien’s book Sillmarilion, who is known specially by his hand and mind abilities. The album was mixed and mastered by Gustavo Acosta and Sebastián Manta, and released by Icarus Music / Massacre Records.Formed by Walter Angelus (Guitars), Gustavo Acosta (Bass), WIZARD singer, Sven D'Anna (Vocals) and Frank Gilchriest (Drums) , the quartet also counts with friends participation like Ross The Boss (MANOWAR), David Shankle (MANOWAR), Ron Hendrix (TERRA NOVA), and Tony Martin (EX-BLACK SABBATH). The intention of the band is to bring heavy and true metal to the listeners.There are twelve tracks in the album. "WE ARE HEAVY METAL" is the first song, that carries the name of their release, and shows to the listeners, the classic Power/Heavy Metal counting with large and fast riffs, great solo and melodic clean vocals as well as "The Discipline Of Steel". "Ëol The Dark" and "Ëarendil The Sailor" drive you into Tolkien's fantasy world, telling tales of two characters of Sillmarilion, both are strong and heavy. "Water Gardens" has a very nice piano melody, using a lot of musical elements resulting in a beautiful experience."White And Blue" is the good ballad here. "Crying Games" is a very good classic heavy metal song with excellence by Tony Martin. "The Visitors" is the longest track and the summary of the good and well-worked production having many nuance and remarkable vocals. "The Epic Of Gilgamesh Pt.1" is my favorite song of this release, fast and furious, very groovy, it ends the work with primacy.After working on the new album for six years the band did an excellent job. The production is awesome, but something there is missing on the originality. My impression is that it was a little over-influenced by the references of band members. Still, it is worth listening to it.

FEANOR are at it again, bringing their closure to the album “The Triumph Of Steel” with this, “Power Of The Chosen One”. The press pack on this album comes heavily laden with praise and several seemingly potent details on the band. It should be noted up front then that the album was produced with absolutely no MIDI drums, no plugins, and no synths. Also brought in is the title “True Metal” to separate this band from perhaps other bands that are not true. I apologize if that comes off strongly. I think any band that embraces their metal emphasis and creates music reflecting that should probably be in the same category. The album is slated for release on the 23rd of April.The first track on the release, also available currently as a single, is “Rise Of The Dragon”. With a screech, the track begins and pounds away on its kick drum notes. A blistering drum fill brings a start to vocals that, with few exceptions, lay the groundwork for the entire track. There is a break around the three minute mark, leading in to a blistering guitar solo that misses the mark for me. It seems speed takes the crown with the section, and the overall feel does not give added emphasis or cohere with the song as a whole. The chorus on this one will definitely catch fire and stay with you for some time! “Power Of The Chosen One” brings about a change in tempo. The track has a much slower tempo, and makes you want to groove along mindlessly just savoring the classic vibe. The almost six minute epic does little in the way of variety, but some of the lighter details come through clear as day. A pre-chorus for instance rings like a bell and is just a sweet note amongst the soundscape. The guitar solo segment is vastly improved in my opinion, offering some sweeter harmonies that are playful with the track. The track even walks out on melodious guitar leads, though they are also spiked with shred demon spices.“Bringer Of Pain” is an easy favorite for me, in a deep and dark feel that captures a different side of the band. Variety is the spice of life after all. I feel like after poking holes in some of the guitar work on this album, this track especially deserves my attention. Almost none of the excessive flash is apparent in the guitar leads in this track, and it feels much more musical and down to earth as a whole piece. Fantastic work. I would be remiss if I did not bring attention to the most detailed track on this album, “The Return Of The Metal King”. A near 20 minute epic, this comes off slightly less “true” and more “episodic prog”. The track lists the origin of this story as a deep reading and scrupulous analysis (with months of study) of “The Odyssey”. I also enjoyed that read! Holy great goodness, this track goes through so many changes that they should be listed!What an offering! This track really lays it all out there for the listener, and it is wonderful. Personally I save my praise on this work for the bass guitar through Part 4, punchy and rebellious, as it gives the music some real depth. I am going to come straight out and say that I did not have high expectations from this album. That may be skewed due to the “True Metal” badge being displayed before I began the album. Honestly, the whole album has positive and negative points, but that is the risk taken by musicians trying to put out something unique. If you like the classics, and pride yourself on music that is far from digital, this is 100% up your alley. Outside of that it is just a fun listen, I would recommend it.

5 full-length album.Me and my big mouth.Just the other day I wrote about Power Metal being an example of obvious Metal music with very few artistic and creative liberty. Yeah, right. Now comes Feanor to say “Hellhammer” to make me eat my words. This sad and lonely and pathetic little planet is round, my dear children of the night.Okay, then, that said, I have here with me “Hellhammer,” an album that proves Metal bands can bake the dough using the same ingredients, and, yet, get bigger and more delicious bread. No, Feanor do not reinvent the wheel. “Hellhammer” is no groundbreaking record. But I can tell it is so delicious.This is so maybe because: “With our upcoming release, listeners can expect an exciting and unique musical experience that showcases a truly global collaboration. This album has been crafted by musicians from across the world, including Mike Stark in Sweden, Thilo Herrmann (ex-Running Wild, ex-Grave Digger) in Germany, Diana Boncheva in South Korea, EV Martel in Brazil, Gus Acosta and Emiliano Wachs in Argentina, along with contributions from many other talented artists in various countries.This worldwide effort brings a rich diversity of influences and styles to the project but always keeping our north into the Feanor sound we are known for.”By the way, they forgot to state EV Martel was with Manowar from 2019 to 2022. Ironically, or not, he was from a tribute Manowar band called Kings of Steel.With a line-up as impressive as this one, no wonder “Hellhammer” is an album to praise. Do not forget all the guest musicians and special appearances of musicians like Ross the Boss. But, besides all that, what makes the band so interesting? My fellow children of the night who are musicians might understand what I am about to say.The impression I get is that the main songwriter imagines a song that would sound in a way, but when it comes to perform the idea with real instruments it comes to sound very different. However, it turns out to sound so good that they keep on anyway. For instance, vocalist Mike Stark sometimes exceeds on his abilities and gets slightly out of tune, what, from where I am standing makes the song even more attractive. As you all know this is not an exact science. Album opener “Sirens of Death“ is a great example. The chorus of “Bad Decisions” sounds a little extreme to my ears. There are lots of violin and orchestral pieces that sound a little off as well. But, want to know what? They all sound great! Maybe it’s me because I particularly love this kind of Metal, but I find “Hellhammer” great. Not only to speak ill of the dead, but vocals on “Bad Decisions” are the kind of bold that worked fine. Here Mike Stark exceeds and hits bull’s eye. The anthemic album tittle track “Hellhammer“ has fantastic guitars and that singalong spirit that gets the fan by the guts. More Manowar than ever with some little touches of early Running Wild. Great song! Following track “Remember the Fallen” is more exciting the its tittle showcases with a very catchy guitar phrase and remarkable vocals.There is no way of not saying that the major influence to “Hellhammer” is Manowar. To see “Hellhammer” performed alive must be fantastic! A hell of an album to watch the band perform alive in a big festival.Feanor “Hellhammer” will be released on September 19th via No Remorse Records.
