Teeze is a glam hard rock from Lansdale, Pennsylvania, U.S. Later they changed the name to Roughhouse.Roughhouse was an American glam metal band founded as Teeze in 1983.Their name was changed to Roughhouse in 1988 following line-up and image changes after signing with Columbia Records, although the reason for the name change itself was reportedly for "legal reasons".Max Norman produced their 1988 self-titled album. The members of the band are vocalist Luis Rivera, guitarists Tripp Eisen (known at the time as Rex Eisen) and Gregg Malack,[4] bassist Dave Weakley, and drummer Mike Natalini. In 1991, the band broke up and reunited for some shows in 1992, 1993 and 2002.On October 15, 2016, Roughhouse performed their first show in 14 years at the Whiskey Tango in Philadelphia. This was followed with more shows in 2017.

New Jersey and Pennsylvania didn’t stand a chance when it came to mid Eighties shock rockers TEEZE. The raggedy glam rock quintet simply took over every city they marched into and took very few prisoners. Just when you thought things couldn’t be more over the top, the members of TEEZE were more than happy to prove you wrong.They had it all and then some but maybe the major labels were a little too afraid of them? Who knows – but the band’s popularity and success proved them all wrong. TEEZE only album, “Teeze” from 1985, became a much sought after piece, heavily bootlegged but never officially reissued.Now 20th Century Music is releasing “Teeze” again with a fresh 2026 re-press – for the first time on CD and including three bonus tracks never heard before unless you happened to be in the band’s inner circle.“Teeze” sounds a lot more like classic Motley Crue then the original bad boys themselves…Opener “Party Hardy” was the single for this release. Sure it is a fun pop-rock song, but it isn’t very indicative of what Teeze actually sounded like. The rest of the album takes a darker glam meets sleazy route and ends up producing some fun party rock anthems in the process.Some of the best are “Midnight Madness”, the powerful “Somewhere Someway” and the dark riffing of “Leave Me To Burn”. You can also include “On The Run” and “Crank It Up”, two songs that succeed due in part to their infectious choruses.The bonus tracks are just rough demos from 1986, including the fun “Screaming in the 80’s”.Teeze may look utterly ridiculous image wise, but the ’80s produced several weird looking outfits that played satisfying music – Teeze is one of them. Whether you will enjoy this album or not really comes down to one question – do you like the early definitive Motley Crue?If you answer yes then we suggest you pick this forgotten 80s up, because Luis Rivera sounds pretty similar to Vince Neil. Sound quality is fine, considering the original tapes are lost.

Who knows but the band's popularity and success proved them all wrong.This reissue includes three bonus tracks never heard before unless you happened to be in the band's inner circle.These folks were influenced by Motley Crue or Twisted Sister at the time so nothing much to add..."Party Hardy","Midnight Madness","Hellraiser","Somewhere Someway","Going Away","Crank It Up" are awesome songs,catchy ones and with full of powerful party glam.I never agreed with “Party Hardy” being the debut single for this release. Sure it is a fun pop-rock song, but it isn’t very indicative of what Teeze actually sounded like.
