MYSTERY MOON, the new Melodic Hard Rock project feat. swedish vocalist Rob Lundgren (MENTALIST) and german guitarist Markus Pfeffer (LAZARUS DREAM, BARNABAS SKY), will release their debut album Shine in November 2024 via Pride & Joy Music!The songs are currently being mastered by JK Northrup in Sacramento, and the band is gearing up to shoot their first video for the track “The Mystery“, directed by Christian Esche.The first video for the song “The Mystery” (that was our very first song, and its title was decisive for the band name) will be directed by Christian Esche, who already directed several videos for Markus Pfeffer‘s other projects Barnabas Sky and Lazarus Dream as well as Rob‘s main band Mentalist.

Mystery Moon returns with their sophomore album, "Way Beyond," delivering a notable contribution to the European melodic hard rock landscape. The project centers around German multi-instrumentalist Markus Pfeffer, known for his work with Barnabas Sky, Lazarus Dream, and Winterland among others, alongside standout Swedish vocalist Rob Lundgren of Mentalist."Way Beyond" represents a natural progression, opening up fresh musical and thematic territory. The symbolic cover artwork, created by Argentine artist Nicolas Oliveros, already captures the album's essence: storks, representing new life and fresh beginnings, have built their nest inside an abandoned boat resting on a lakeshore, waiting to set sail once again. Above them, the sky blends darkness with moonlight, visually echoing the record's central themes. Content-wise, "Way Beyond" digs into life's contrasts and challenges. Tracks like "Chaos and Order," "Lost And Found," and "Ouroboros" tackle these tensions, weaving them together with genuine emotional depth that takes listeners on a layered journey, moving between loss and renewal, stillness and motion, light and shadow.Musically, Pfeffer has intentionally sharpened Mystery Moon's overall sound. The record places even greater emphasis on memorable hooks and melodies. Enhanced keyboard textures and deliberately woven-in eighties influences give the album an added sonic dimension. Previously released tracks "Cycles Of Life" and "Dreamland (Garden Of Eden)" serve as early standouts. "Cycles Of Life" offers a playful nod to Europe's classic era, particularly through its distinctive keyboard melody, while "Dreamland" builds an anthemic, emotionally charged atmosphere.With "Way Beyond," Mystery Moon demonstrates why they rank among the most compelling names in modern European melodic hard rock, an album that brings together opposing forces, stirs genuine emotion, and pushes confidently forward.Guest contributors on the record include drummer and percussionist Thomas Rieder along with keyboardist Timo Becker.
