XERON was first formed in Huntington Beach, California in the summer of 1978, but it’s only in 1984 - with the entry of lead singer Larry Leon - that things got really serious and the band started playing many live-dates in the Los Angeles area and received major label interest from Atlantic and Polydor Records.During 1985 the band decided to record and self-release an EP, called “Does Anybody Hear…”, with the line up of Larry Leon-vocals, Jeffrey Bowlick-bass, Jeff Wolfe-drums, Mike Tavera-keyboards, John Walosyzn-guitar, and Trevor Jay- guitar.The album features 6 great tracks of awesome Melodic Rock mixed with a Pomp/AOR style, due to the the big use of keyboards and synthesizers.The EP made it to number two on the import charts for “Sounds Magazine” in the U.K. and quickly sold out in Europe, receiving great feedback from magazines like “Metal Forces” and more.In the States, the record got high rotation airplay on various radio stations and it also garnered an honorable mention in “Billboard” Magazine.Available only on vinyl, “Does Anybody Hear…” will be now released for the first time officially on Cd from the original masters, with the addition of two unreleased live-tracks, as bonus, and the usual de-luxe booklet, featuring tons of unseen pics, memorabilia and the story of the band.

Contains 10 tracks in total, 6 of which are on the EP plus 4 additional tracks from a live performance in ‘84. Remastered. Great work that analogue collectors know, and as the label info says, a pure melodic hard rock sound in the style of PROPHET, WHITE SISTER and JOURNEY. A must-have for meloher maniacs! Hailing from in and around Los Angeles, XERON started life in early '80s, with guitarist Trevor Jay and singer Larry Leon, as the main songwriters of the band.They self-released the 'Does Anybody Hear...' EP in '85.Unfortunately, due to the lack of interest in this genre, the band split up after some great live shows in the Los Angeles-area.In the right hands and with the right label, XERON could have been up there with the likes of White Sister and Prophet!- For the first time on CD, the EP has been coupled with 4 live tracks (3 of which totally unreleased!) recorded at "Reseda Club" during 1984, and it's now presented in a carefully remastered version from the original master-tapes and enriched by the usual de-luxe booklet full of unseen pics, flyers and memorabilia!
