D-A-D is a Danish rock band. It was originally named "Disneyland After Dark", but got renamed to avoid a lawsuit from The Walt Disney Company. In the early 1980s in Copenhagen, Denmark, D-A-D started playing together under their original name Disneyland After Dark. Pedersen came up with the name based on the idea that when the lights are out in Disneyland, anything can happen. The first lineup of D-A-D consisted of Jesper, Stig, Peter and Stig’s girlfriend, Lene Glumer. The band's debut concert was at the youth club Sundby Algaard. In December 1982,[citation needed] Lene Glumer left the band and the three of them kept playing together and on March 3. 1984 Jespers younger brother, Jacob joined the band at a concert at Musikcaféen in Copenhagen.The band released their first album, Call of the Wild in 1986.The group made their international breakthrough in 1989 with the record No Fuel Left for the Pilgrims, which was released on the band's 5th birthday. They achieved some airplay with the single "Sleeping My Day Away".The current lineup is Jesper Binzer, Jacob Binzer, Stig Pedersen and Laust Sonne.The largest concert the band played as the opening act for the Böhse Onkelz on their farewell festival on 17 June 2005, about 120,000 people on the Euro Speedway Lausitz

Last year, Danish rock institution D-A-D celebrated their 40th anniversary with a sold-out Royal Arena show in front of 15,000 fans. Now, you can relive that once-in-a-lifetime birthday party with the band’s new live album “Live From The Arena” especially released for the Record Store Day 2025.D-A-D was formed under the name Disneyland After Dark in Copenhagen in 1982, but they count March 3, 1984 as their birth date, when they first had Jacob Binzer on guitar, that was the day they all played their first gig together.The band opens with “Jihad” from the album “No Fuel Left for the Pilgrims”, which is one of their absolute best songs. Phenomenal start to the concert. Awesome crowd and great sing-along from the audience. They follow up with “Evil Twin” from ‘Everything Glows’ and “1st, 2nd & 3rd” from their recent studio album ‘Speed of Darkness’.To make the celebration complete, Peter Lundholm Jensen – DAD’s original drummer, who played with the band until 1999 – appears as guest on three songs.For the encore, the band play one of our favorite songs, 1986’s “It’s After Dark”, the perfect end to the concert. The tempo increases significantly, the song just grows and grows. Jacob Binzer shows once again what an absolutely brilliant guitarist he is. DAD gets a very well-deserved standing ovation afterwards.A standout rocking concert with songs from the eras of the band, perfectly captured.
