Bio:
„We are Crossplane and we play Hard Rock and Rock`n`Roll.” Under this slogan the band is kicking ass since 2010.Crossplane was founded 2009 by Celli and Dirk. Both guys aren’t really unknown in the music scene:Singer Celli plays guitar in the band “Onkel Tom” with Tom Angelripper (Sodom) and Dirk smashed the bass-strings in “Ramonstars” leaded by frontman Andy Brings. Listening to the drums you’re getting the punch by Matthias, who also hits the drums in “Exumer”. This quartet is completed by Alex, who is responsible for the second guitar. In 2011 they released their self-produced first EP called “High Speed Operation”, which achieved consistently positive reactions in all music-magazines, e.g. Metal Hammer, Rock Hard and online-magazines.The year 2012 is running again by high speed and 100% voltage. Signing to the label 7hard the band is taking the next step in their career. A single from their upcoming album will come out this August featuring guest musicians, like Tom Angelripper (Sodom & Onkel Tom) and Christof Leim (The New Black & Sinner) and produced by Dennis Koehne (Ex-Woodhouse Studios). And of course a matching video clip will follow.Crossplane combines a successful mix of streetrock, punk and dirty Rock`n`Roll. They are burning down the stages. The incredible amount of almost 50 shows in only 2 years underlines this. The shows did not only take place in local venues, instead Crossplane tours through all parts of Germany. Upcoming shows are confirmed for Berlin, Bremen, Rosenheim, Thüringen and other cities. And right on time to start the festival season 2013 they can already confirm their appearance at the legendary Rock In Den Ruinen in Dortmund. You get more than expected, so watch out and be there if someone says: “We are Crossplane and we play Rock`n`Roll”
Album:
Fans of dirty rock’n’roll will be familiar with Crossplane. The four guys from Germany certainly have a passion for the magical sound of Motörhead, which they use as inspiration, and it’s the vocals of Marcel Celli Mönnig that show some parallels to Lemmy. Rough and a bit hoarse, the frontman brings a raw expression to each of the songs and listening to tracks like the opener “Rocker” shows what to expect from the band’s latest effort. “Rocker” is what the title says. It is a blasting hard rock tune with edges and built on the spirit of rock’n’roll. Mainstream couldn’t be further from what comes out of the speakers.Lyrically, the album deals with the darker sides of life, with frontman Mönnig addressing the monsters of his childhood and its personal effects. So, with all the heavy rock’n’roll thunder, the unpolished life story is what makes this release an authentic piece of rock’n’roll. It’s the scars, the ups and the downs that define the individual, and that leads to some thunderous rock songs for “Mother’s Monster”.And just like life has its edges, the latest Crossplane record has some sharp musical ones. These songs show some dirt under the fingernails and the fact that the band adds “Sweep Away the Dirt”, a song with some punk references, demonstrates the broader approach to energetic rock music. What underlines the grooving dynamics is the sound of “Mother’s Monster”. The album was produced by none other than Waldemar Sorychta, which speaks a clear language when it comes to the band and the sound of the album.“Mother’s Monster” is a smashing rock album and fans of bands like Motörhead should definitely check out what this band from the “Ruhrpott” has to offer.
