Bio:
Brother Belmont is in fact the alter ego of Tamás Jósa, who for years has been at the helm of various productions (Iron Maidnem, divideD, Rockstars Not Dead), and has tried his hand at several genres. Over the years, alongside these bands, he has developed his own vision, which is Transmissions Through The Nuclear Ash, produced by Jani Szentkirályi and released on 14 February by GrundRecords.
Album:
Debut album Transmissions Through The Nuclear Ash, produced by Jani Szentkirályi and released on 14 February by GrundRecords. The album is both nostalgic for the '80s and tries to bring the typical atmosphere of that time into the present with a modern sound, with lots of references to movies and video games. A window on the past through the present, inspired by a time when we were still wondering with innocent eyes at the world of pop culture. The Straxus Polyhex song tries to be a standalone item while introducing the musical world of the album. Somewhere in the depths of Polyhex, Governor Straxus throws all the rebel Autobots into a crucible, moulding their bodies into future generations of Decepticons... Just as pop culture is currently shaping the world in its own image, shaping people's tastes and thoughts, creating new patterns by self-destruction if necessary. In this war, history is written by the victors, but the key to the problems of our present lies in the past. It is an eerie parallel to the world we live in, where benefits and progress are only given to the privileged, who then use the power of others to shape their environment in their own depraved image. Can our privileged people still have hearts of gold if they have only rust in their veins? This song is a nod to Stan Bush and the Transformers '86 soundtrack, taking us back to the legendary Marvel Transformers issue #17 (the legendary #8 in English). The song and the timbre were easy to come by, and the lyrics and themes existed long before the first note, and even the music video was years in the making. RageRoom in Budapest were not surprised when we called them to start shooting, and Krisztián Maráczi was immediately behind the cameras, he was looking forward to this shoot, especially the events at the very end of the clip. Tamás did the directing and editing himself, while Tamás Vörös was responsible for the lights. The Yoni tribe dancers also appear for a few seconds in the fleeting part of the song, as they dedicate the car, which has seen better days, for its final journey. A very chilly October night was captured. For those of us who were there, the smell of burning oil drums and petrol was an integral part of the experience. The musicians of the live line-up are introduced in the video clip for the first time: you can hear Geri Drahota behind the keytar and bass guitar, who you may know from the bands Gypo Circus or Volumefeeder. After the Ghost BP tribute band with Tamás and the foray into Iron Maidnem, it was clear that Selfish Murphy's drummer Máté Gazsi would be behind the drums, as he had already got to know the demos of the whole album during the trips, before the recordings had even started. The producer and sound engineer of the album, Jani Szentkirályi, will be clearly heard on guitar. Information about the stage debut will start trickling in soon, but expect a spectacular laser-like thing reminiscent of the world of the band Divided, which was better established in 2024.
