Hailing from Fort Worth TX, IRON JAW is made up of five tested veterans whose music is influenced by the heavy metal and hard rock of the 70’s and 80’s. Having grown up on strict diet of , , @ , and , Iron Jaw’s sound is direct and powerful, as demonstrated on their debut single “Devil’s Rain.”Guitarist Rick Perry started at ground zero in 1984 with Warlock, one of the first metal bands in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Warlock’s demise led to the formation of , whose Victims of Science LP is a cult classic among underground thrashers. In 2010, he cofounded Warbeast, who released three CDs on Phil Anselmo’s Housecore Records.In 2014 Rick teamed up with former drummer Randy Cook. Having both made their name playing high speed thrash metal, Rick and Randy wanted their new project to go back to the classic, song-focused metal that got them into music in the first place.They were joined by bassist Clay McCarty and guitarist Jeff Brown, two more long time scenesters who had recently played together in Toxic. The lineup was completed by vocalist Todd Pack, whose powerful pipes and dark lyrical vision brought IRON JAW’s metal to the boiling point.“Ferocious…draws on the New Wave of British Heavy Metal/classic metal influences to deliver songs that are finely crafted".

Iron Jaw play metal in the tradition of Priest, Motorhead, Sabbath, Saxon & Iron Maiden. According to the band, “we call it heavy metal -- the younger kids call it rock and roll.” Either description is appropriate.The band features a bevy of well-known musicians including Rick Perry - Guitars (Gammacide, Puncture, Warbeast), Randy Cook - Drums (Rotting Corpse, Montage), Jeff Brown - Guitars (Toxic, Plague Allegiance, Exstasy), Clay McCarty - Bass (Warlock Texas) and extraordinary vocalist Todd Pack (Horror Cult, Creeper, Hallows Eve). Though Iron Jaw are a fairly new band, forming in 2016, the band has paid their dues and has a staunch following already.Cursed promises to be one of the best New Wave of Traditional Heavy Metal albums of 2025. The band is performing live to support the album, including several well-known metal festivals.
