Country : Germany
Audio : 320 kbps + scans + Video
Size : 161 mb

Bio:

Great melo hard rock band from Mannheim, Baden-Württemberg formed in 1987. “Promises” album by Aidean was released on the Break label in 1988. The songs are great – catchy and full to the brim with both guitar crunch and keyboard blasts. Coming at you from the Bonfire and Pretty Maids school of riffs, they are the typical European melodic rock band, with a big sound and a heavy handed approach. The album starts with a good solid track “Promises”, “Tokyo” is a high peak in here, “Rocks You Up” apart from rock you it has a catchy chorus and definetely a highlight, “Fell In Love Again” is a strong ballad, “Livin’ Lovin’Losin’” is AOR, “Children Of The Night” seems 2 be their “song”, quite good indeed.. “Diana” & “Do You call Again” are both faves, “Aidean Medley” is a crazy song, quite a filler honestly.Steve Lydakis’ voice is like a mix of Hamie (Heavy Pettin), Michael Flexig (Zeno) and Bernie Kolbe (ex Domain). They split up after that release. For fans of bands like Skagarack,Treat, Craaft and Winter’s Reigh.

Album:

Super debut full-length album in reissue through Break Out Classics Records with 3 bonus tracks.Album recorded from July '87 to March '88 at Klanstudio Leyh, Sandhausen in Germany. When I read online that AIDEAN’s album was being reissued, my heart skipped a beat.If you’re not familiar with them, you’re going to think I’m crazy. Well, AIDEAN released their one and only album, *Promises*, in 1988. Only a few copies were produced, and it became one of those albums everyone talks about but no one has actually seen the CD of in person.I had an old cassette recording, but now I had the chance to get my hands on this collector’s item.Plus, BreakOut Classics had the great idea to reissue it as a digipack, complete with a full story accompanied by photos, three bonus tracks (including one previously unreleased), and remastered sound.AIDEAN plays melodic hard rock with an FM-friendly sound, in the vein of TREAT or FATE. Now, you’re probably thinking, “Wow, those are big names—so why haven’t we heard more about them?” Well, I think the reason this album didn’t catch on is because of the vocals. And yes, AIDEAN’s big problem is the vocals—a nasal voice that’s reminiscent of some 1980s French band demos. It’s a shame because with a better singer, this would undoubtedly have been the album of 1988, or even one of the best of the century in its genre.Songs like “Promises,” “Rocks You Up,” “Livin’ Lovin’ Losin’,” “Children Of The Night,” and “Do You Call Again” should have ended up in the Hard FM hall of fame because the choruses are unstoppable, the melodies are everywhere—a real treat…Not to mention the legendary track, the medley full of humor (Asian music, wedding music, etc.) and excerpts from songs on the album. Great promotion for the band. The three bonus tracks are interesting. Especially the previously unreleased “Nightime.” The other two are mainly of interest to collectors and die-hard fans of the band (like me), as they are demo versions of the tracks “Children Of The Night” and “Rocks You Up.” If, like me, you’re a huge fan of 80s Scandinavian or German-style Hard FM, then this album is for YOU. IT’S EVEN ESSENTIAL. If not, give it a listen—it’s a hidden gem that’s been forgotten!!!! Plus, only 2,000 copies of this version were pressed, so it’s likely to become a hard-to-find item very quickly.
