Bio:

German hard rock band from Hanover formed in 1973. Band name changed to Victory in 1984. Whoever was there at the time did not forget them, and those who have only read about them are still hoping for his first live experience with this band. In this sense, there is now a welcome message for both parties: The Hanoverian Classic Rocker Fargo are back! On the one hand, on paper (Fargo bassist Peter Knorn published his first book Bis hierhin and so on, 20 years Rock'n'Roll - Ein- und Ansichten eines Bassisten in June 2016), on the other hand - and somehow also logically - also on the Stage. On June 18th, 2016, the reunited group celebrated their comeback at the Hannover beatbox open air, six weeks later they performed at the renowned Rock Of Ages Festival in Seebronn.Founded in 1973 by Peter 'Fargo-Pedda' Knorn, the group quickly earned a loyal fan base and signed shortly after the new signing of singer / guitarist Peter Ladwig a record deal with the giant company EMI. Meanwhile, guitarist Matthias Jabs belonged to the band, who moved in 1978 to the Scorpions. In 1979, the Fargo debut album appeared, until 1982, followed by three other studio discs, all over the EMI.The band toured several times throughout Europe, shared the stages with the greatest of the rock scene, completed tours with, inter alia, AC / DC, Mothers Finest or The Small Faces and also left their mark on television (including "Rock Pop", ZDF). Due to their stage show (to the evening spectacle belonged Knorns legendary somersault with the bass) dedicated in January 1981 even the largest European youth magazine BRAVO the fargo bassist two whole pages. After a period of upheaval in 1984, the Hard Rock formation Victory emerged from Fargo and continued the successful career of their predecessor almost seamlessly. As bassist of Victory Knorn also maneuvered his new group unerringly through all the cliffs of the international rock scene. Fargo was history, but the band was by no means forgotten. With Knorn and Ladwig are now two Fargo original members in the current line-up, supplemented by Arndt Schultz (formerly Harlis, Jane) and Nikolas Fritz (Mob Rules). Fargo are back, who would have expected it ?!

Album:

No Limit is the title of the second studio album by the German rock band Fargo, released in 1980.Fargo had released the album Wishing Well in early 1979. The band had already gone on tour in February, which lasted the whole year. The last concert of this tour took place on November 10, 1979 in Fluorn-Winzeln and was recorded by SWR and broadcast by Frank Laufenberg. The recordings for No Limit took place in December at the Horus Sound Studio in Hanover under the direction of music producer Frank Bornemann instead. Jan Nemec acted as a sound engineer and the songwriting was mainly done by Hanno Grossmann, who wrote four of the eight songs. Singer Peter Ladwig contributed three songs, bassist Peter Knorn one title. Piano and organ were played by Kalle Bösel, backing vocals were sung by Neeltje Groneman. On two songs, I'm a Loser and The Last, drummer Frank Tolle was replaced by Ede Schicke. The Last was released from the album as a single. No Limit was released in February 1980, shortly thereafter the tour began, during which the band played for four appearances in the opening act for April Wine. At the third concert with the Canadian band, which took place in Nuremberg, Motörhead was also part of the billing. On April 12, 1980, Peter Knorn sustained a back injury on the stage in Leonberg when he jumped a forward somersault with his instrument, as was customary at the time. On May 6, 1980, the group, together with members of the bands Eloy ( Hannes Arkona, Hannes Folberth and Jürgen Rosenthal) and Jane (Charlie Maucher), in the Hamburg factory. The NDR recorded the performance and broadcast excerpts in the program Musik nach der Schule in NDR 2's program. After the concert on May 9, 1980, drummer Frank Tolle left the band temporarily. Rudi Kaeding played the tour to the end for him and also recorded the next album with the band.In 2003 No Limit was re-released and first appeared on CD.
