Bio:

Band formed in 1991 in Philadelphia, US and disbanded in 1994.The band is Dezire and the title of the CD is A Rock Band Named...Dezire (1989)....In 2006 the album was re-released on Retrospect Records. The Band went through some line up changes as well as a change in musical style (they moved in a heavier direction) and change their name to Today We Live.Tony Scoma, Jay Regan, and Mick Zaffary were born from the ashes of Dezire and rounded out the group with guitarist extraordinaire Steve Kristiansen, formerly of Black Task. It's a combination of hard rock, metal, funk, alternative and jam band sound. With the piercing lyrics and vocals of Jay, the heavy beats at the back of Mick and Tony and the bone crunching melodic riffs of Steve.

Album:

This album is great the debut release of the Philadelphia area hard rock band Dezire. It was initially released independently in 1992.It is representative of that era of hard rock, hair metal, and not to be taken too seriously. Just good old hard rock music about cars, girls, and other pursuits of the young. It has been described as raw and unpolished but a lot of fun! Stand out tracks are the ballads You and Me and Hold your Head up High and the rockers Hot Rod Love and Stay and Fight.Track 11 which is unfortunately missing on the Retrospect Records album is a live recorded set at the famous Galaxy in Somerdale NJ, it includes live versions of many songs on our CD and some other tracks.

Jay J. Regan (lead vocals, keyboards, guitar)
