Bio:
Hard Rock/Glam band from Erie, Pennsylvania, US.Not to be confused with Bad Attitude from Connecticut, Bad Attitude from California, Bad Attitude from New Jersey or Badd Attitude from Tennessee.Formed in Erie, Pennsylvania in 1988 by guitar extraordinaire, Tommy Attitude (Front Man), Mark Loblaw (Rhythm Guitar), Frank Belloumini (Bass Guitar), Sam Brutto and Greg Feddock of Lizard on the Drums. They quickly form a local following playing in bars such as Oliver’s, Taps, Goofy’s and renting the Polish Falcon Hall for larger venues. The boys began playing out of town venues like Doctor Feelgood’s in Conneaut, Ohio and Hotel Evergreen’s in Edinboro Pa.In 1989 Mark left the band, making way for front man, Blaise Brutto, formerly from Spoiled Rotten, Night Witch and Von Rocks. Blaise, who was already an experienced front man, was exactly what the band were looking for. His incredible vocal abilities and larger than life stage persona brought Bad Attitude to an entire new level. The band mustered up a force of talent to be reckoned with. When Blaise & Tommy hit the stage together there was no need for a second guitar player and therefore Frank parted ways with the band. With the settled line up that the band had been searching for, Bad Attitude moved toward playing bigger venues like Sherlock’s and King’s Rooks Club, both in Erie Pa.In 1990, the boys felt they had found the feel and the sound that finally clicked. They began laying tracks for their 1991 debut full length L.P. – Prisoners Of Rock through their own independent record label, Roadline Records. The album hit the shelves in Cruiser’s, Dig Dio’s, Music Scene, Record Den, Record Country, Boro Tunes, and World Of Music Records. The record sales prompted the interest of national acts such as The Godz, Molly Hatchet, Dirty Looks and Fog Hat. Bad Attitude seemed to be on a roll. Then came the departure of Greg Feddock. The boys added in the talent of Steven Starr who brought more energy and flare to the band’s already high energy and hard hitting stage shows. Bad Attitude were now ready for national exposure and began booking dates for a mega tour lasting for more than a year. The boys shared the stage with such great artists as David Lee Roth Band, Nazareth and Night Ranger. They blew through Fort Wayne, Angola Indiana, Columbus, Cincinnati, Geneva on the Lake in Ohio, Buffalo New York, Louisville Kentucky, Fitzgerald, Albany, Ocilla Georgia, Charleston South Carolina and Myrtle Beach North Carolina. The boys were on a roll, gathering momentum with every show and a gaining a dedicated following, all leading to The Great Michigan Tour where they rocked Jackson, Lansing, Shelbyville, Flint, Detroit, Upper Peninsula, Poniac, and Bay City. Bad Attitude’s thunder rocked the entire state.
Album:
SUNCiTY RECORDS is proud to present the first CD release of the debut album by BAD ATTITUDE, a hard rock band from Pennsylvania, USA, originally released on cassette only in 1990.This is a pretty cool Bad Boys type sound. If you like Motley Crue or Ratt, you will love this album. The relatively unique voice and intertwining melody lines make this a high-quality album that would be good enough to be released on a major label. It is a medium rarity among SUNCiTY RECORDS albums, but it is one that is not often found in the used market. Like other SUNCiTY RECORDS series, I think this album will become more rare in the future, so I recommend you to buy it if you find it while hunting for it.Criminally “Prisoners Of Rock” was never released on CD until now where Suncity Records will be releasing this monster album in its entirety, fully re-mastered straight from the original digital master as well as a full 12-page colour booklet featuring pictures, lyrics, liner notes, etc…Bad Attitude’s sound has elements of Kix, Ratt, Skid Row, Krokus & Motley Crue mixed with their very own spark. I tend to bang on about how good Suncity’s bands are, so this time I will entirely let the music do the talking. Check out the first single above off the upcoming album entitled “T’N’A Tonight”. With massive backing vocals, killer musicianship, top notch production and a (bad) attitude to be reckoned with, I think this track truly represents what this band are all about and will leave you wanting more
