Extinct is a German Thrash Metal Band from Kiel, formed in Rendsburg,Schleswig-Holstein in 2003. They play a combination of Old School Thrash Metal and modern Death/Thrash Metal elements. Their main influences are the well-known 80’s Thrash Bands from America and Germany such as Metallica, Slayer, Kreator, and so on.

The Northern German thrashers Extinct were anything but idle in 2025. With well over 20 shows played, they didn’t just stay busy on stage, but also found the time “on the side” to bring a new guitarist into the fold, write material for a new album, and record it. Now, just under two years after the widely acclaimed predecessor “Incitement of Violence,” the result is here in the form of a brand-new full-length! “In Conspiracies We Trust” isn’t just a thrash metal album,it’s a thrash metal statement. The band’s signature mix of old school and modern death/thrash, with a clear focus on both the German and American roots of the genre in the 80s, has a charm all its own. From stomping mid-tempo parts to full-on Slayer-esque beatdowns, there’s everything here a dedicated listener could want. At the same time, the band manages to break free from worn-out patterns and inject fresh energy and originality into their material.Given their once again massive live presence, there’s no way around the name Extinct in 2026 when it comes to top-tier thrash metal from Germany.Date of release 07.
