Steven Hanseter, better known as Stevie Rachelle, was born on March 2, 1966 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, United States. Wayne’s World 2 (1993), The Decline of Western Civilization Part II: The Metal Years (1988), and The Stöned Age (1994) are some of his acting credits. Rachelle is also the founder of the metalsludge.tv site, dedicated to the hair metal scene of the eighties , and is also the producer and owner of the small independent record label RLS Records (Record Labels Suck).He is also the lead singer of Tuff where he replaced Jim Gillette on vocals in 1987. They debuted with Rachelle in August 1987 as a support group for Warrant at the Roxy . Solo, Rachelle has done 2 albums, and performed tracks on several "tribute" albums. He can also be regularly heard performing on tracks for the glam rock band Shameless.
Tuff is an American glam metal band formed in 1985 in Phoenix, Arizona, by guitarist Jorge DeSaint (born George Manos) and bassist Todd Chase (born Todd Chaisson). The band was completed with the arrival of drummer Michael Lean (born Michael Raimondo) and short-lived vocalist Terry Fox, who left the band shortly afterwards to pursue an ice skating career. With replacement vocalist Jim Gillette, the band recorded a four-track EP entitled Knock Yourself Out. However, Gillette soon departed to form Nitro and was replaced by Stevie Rachelle (born Steve Hanseter).Tuff was signed in 1990 by Atlantic Records, and released their debut album What Comes Around Goes Around in May 1991, in which the band released the hit power ballad "I Hate Kissing You Goodbye". In 1995, Tuff's independently-released Fist First was reissued by BMG as Religious Fix, with the addition of three bonus tracks.In 2001, Tuff released the compilation CD The History of Tuff, which included the song "American Hair Band", a parody of Kid Rock's "American Bad Ass" (both of which incorporate the instrumentals of Metallica's "Sad But True"). "American Hair Band" made references to numerous similar bands of the era as well as criticizing grunge and alternative rock.Tuff released What Comes Around Goes Around Again in 2012, which featured four rerecorded songs from What Comes Around Goes Around plus new tracks.

As requested, here’s the 20-track album, a revised / remastered compilation from the singer’s two first solo albums – both out out print – with three additional bonus tracks, especially recorded for this release.“Best sTuff” is a varied album, while the tracks taken from Rachelle’s first solo are acoustically based melodic, the ones from the second are rockin’ electric, featuring among the musicians playing the likes of Gilby Clarke (ex Guns N’ Roses) and Brian Tichy (Whitesnake). The new 2019 tracks features a stellar line-up.“Shag-A-Doo LolliPop” (there’s 2 versions, the Rawk Mix and the Rock Mix) consists of Rachelle on lead vocals, Chip Z’Nuff (Enuff Z’Nuff) on bass, Mark Ricciardi (John Waite) on lead guitar, Adam Hamilton (L.A. Guns) on drums, programming and keys, and Patrick Kennison (Lita Ford) on backing vocals.The other is a surprising cover of the Phil Collins & Genesis pop hit “I Can’t Dance”, performed by the line-up of Rachelle on lead vocals, JK Northrup (XYZ) on guitars, bass and programming, and Chris Laney with additional musical contributions and vocals.Almost unrecognizable, this is a pretty killer version akin Def Leppard meets Reckless Love.With an album cover art that’s a carbon-copy of the latest Ted Poley solo CD (both got the idea -art- from the SAME digital artist), “Best sTuff” is a very good collection of songs from the underrated Stevie Rachelle, a tireless ’80s glamster still carrying the flag of the genre in the 21st Century.Many of the songs here are mature melodic rock / classic rock oriented, while there’s electrifying hard rockers as well.
