Henning Hallqvist is a very talented young Swedish rock singer who is known for the great symphony orchestra rock tribute to Queen and being special guest with legendary Toto singer Bobby Kimball live.He has recorded his first solo album and is doing a PledgeMusic campaign right now.This first single is a great teaser of the quality of the album that was written and produced by famous fellow Swede Tommy Denander (Michael Jackson, Alice Cooper, Deep Purple, Paul Stanley, Ricky Martin).One song was co written with Oscar and Grammy winning legend Jim Peterik from Survivor and among the musicians you find John Regan (Rolling Stones, Peter Frampton, Ace Frehley) on bass, Tony Mills (Shy, TNT) and Pete Newdeck on backing vocals.But the main thing here is that Henning needs your support on Pledge to get the CD and vinyl released so please feel free to go and check the page out, see all the cool things he offers and of course support him!

"Time Keeper" is the debut solo album from young Swedish vocalist HENNING HALLQVIST, known as front man of the Symphony Orchestra Rock tribute to Queen.Born and raised listening to classic rock music, Hallqvist's influences range from Seventies ELO and Queen, Eighties Joey Tempest / Europe and Survivor to Nineties Journey and Aerosmith.There's many well known musicians helping Hallqvist here, such as Tommy Denander producing, Jim Peterik from Survivor co-writing, John Regan (Rolling Stones, Peter Frampton, Ace Frehley) on bass, Tony Mills (Shy, TNT) and Pete Newdeck on backing vocals, etc.In fact, "Time Keeper" is pretty much Tommy Denander's baby, because the talented Swede not only produced and played guitar & keyboards, but wrote all the songs, with Hallqvist involved in arrangements.The only song coming from an outsider songwriter is 'Easy As Breathing', that Denander co-wrote with Jim Peterik some years ago and it's one of the highlights.What you have here is really good collection of modern Scandinavian melodic rock songs, with that unmistakable '80s AOR touch. Think Denader's own band Radioactive, Frontline, Pride Of Lions, etc.Henning Hallqvist owns a very strong and colorful set of vocal pipes, with a distinctive phrasing. This guy is a real find and I'm sure we'll hear great things from him in the future.Musically, and speaking about songwriting, I am pleasantly surprised by Denander. He seems to have been re-captured the nerve of his early works.The songs are elaborated and diverse, then production is punchy and while always melodic, the pulsating and at times sharp guitar work / solos elevates the album to another level.
