American Christian rock band from Cedar Rapids, Iowa active from 1988 to 1993.Fighter is the brainchild of guitarist Jim Wolter and his wife vocalist Amy Wolter that plays 80's style rock with gutsy female vocals and Godly lyrics.They played arena style rock such as Def Leppard and Journey with hooks and melodies galore.

Here’s the remastered reissue through Girder Records..one of the best female-fronted AOR / melodic hard rock albums from the early ’90s: FIGHTER’s “The Waiting“, including as bonus tracks their very hard to find, early 4-track demo EP with two exclusive songs.Led by talented vocalist and principal songwriter Amy Wolter (we featured her solo album at 0dayrox some time ago) FIGHTER played arena style melodic hard rock plenty of hooks and melodies galore, with a touch of AOR here and there.The distinctive element in FIGHTER’s style was the trade-off vocals between Wolter and male singer / drummer Sean Murphy. Dual vocals proved to work great for them and created dynamics not seen in other bands of this ilk.Not a single weak song on here, but a wonderful collection of superb tunes wrapped by a crystal clear production, now even more enhanced by a vibrant remastering job.This album has been completely remastered for the reissue, with revised / refreshed artwork, unseen photos, and band history. Plus it also includes the original 4-song EP (Demo) containing 4 songs: ‘Radio Man’, ‘Face to Face’, (which were later re-recorded and put on The Waiting) then ‘Leo’ and ‘Irresponsible Evil’ which are only on the EP that was sold only at concerts.A MUST for female-fronted AOR / melodic hard rock fans.
