3-Piece Hard Rockers from the heart of the UK.4.5 billion years ago a blazing ball of rock named THEIA hit the planet that we now refer to as Earth.We play high octane, fully-loaded, riff-driven Rock n' Roll... catchy choruses, huge riffs and a thumping rhythm section.Since the current line-up came together in 2014, THEIA have been making waves both locally and on the English Rock Festival Circuit. With a focused work ethic and a band built on a love of live music, our aim is to continue writing and playing for the people who support us.

The breakthrough second album?If you’ll forgive the awful pun, the trio of young men who make up Theia, from Staffordshire’s brewing capital, Burton On Trent, would have every right to be bitter.Here they are, making wonderful hard rock music, but perhaps because they are away from the massive metropolitan spotlights of London, say or the other big cities, they never quite get the attention they have long deserved.Except, there is no hint of sour grapes here. Instead on “Back In Line” their second album in no time at all, they take on the small town frustration head on. “Born and brewed in a town fermented,” seethes singer Kyle Lamley on “Signed, Sealed And Cemented”, “drink up in silence, keep your feet on the ground,” And in those two lines, right there, he has come up with an anthem for all the dreamers, the bored, the lonely, and those who, like Theia, should get so much more.To call “Back In Line”, their first album with new drummer Jake Dalton, a giant step forward, or all the other clichés would be to do a massive disservice to the 2015 effort “Pull The Pin (which was a stunner in its own right). That said, take a listen to the confidence about the hook of “My Poison” and tell us that this is not a very special band indeed.“Whiskey Business” – which ushers itself in with all the subtlety of a wrecking ball setting to work on a model village – is designed to be played live, while the title track is that side of the band that never really gets noticed amidst all their ability to write superb choruses; the chunky almost Black Label Society riffs.Unafraid too, to tackle issues head on “Just Go” belies its rock n roll chug to discuss date rape, but the social commentary is balanced by the instinctive ability to just want to provide a damn good time for the people that come out to watch them. “Paper The House” is a glammed up stomper about just that, in fact.Like all the great hard rockers throughout the ages – and Theia are far from found lacking in that type of company – they know how to write a ballad. “Sparkplug” is a southern tinged dose of arena bothering, and the quite gorgeous “Home” is a tearjerker from the top drawer, and deals directly with the onset of fatherhood in its last line. “We’re safe in here as far as I can see, this room built for two is now a room built for three” suggests an emotional Lamley and there isn’t a dry eye in the house.Ending with its longest song, “Afterglow” – which like the intro casts the band as outlaws from the Wild West – there is a new-found level of maturity here, and a kind of “we’ll show you” stoicism that means this album could be the one.Put it like this. Another band used cowboy stylings to get themselves a big breakthrough hit in 1986. And the idea that Theia, like Bon Jovi could both see a million faces and rock them all isn’t a dream they are ready to give up on just yet.
