Between Massachusetts and New Hampshire, a new power metal colossus named SHADOWLYNX is rising. Shawn Boucher (ex-SHADOWS SANCTUARY, -FROM THE SHADOWS) has only existed since 2015, but now presents his fulminant debut album 'Forced As One'.In a brew combining IRON MAIDEN with the force and intrusiveness of MANOWAR and TWISTED TOWER DIRE and carrying the taste refiners of the QUEENSRYCHEs lineage, Boucher is the hanger. He makes it easy to present his singing in the different songs in different ways. If the listener thinks of Harry Conklin in a moment, he sounds like Volker Riedel (MYRMIDION CREED) the next moment. Only the singled-in, multi-voice background shouts, combined with the great singing of the singing tones, are a bit contrat productive. The "The Black Crusade" is an excellent example. The band can not be blamed for lack of variety. Songs like the thrashige 'The Last Straw' carry the adrenaline rush, the bouncer'Hailfyre' scores with a SABBATH's introduction.A fool who does not indulge in the sound of SHADOWLYNX as a US metal fan and sticks to the lips of Shawn Boucher. Singing singing is permitted only in the steel vaulted cellar.
