SWEET CREATURE is a new hard rock band fronted by Martin Sweet, best known as lead guitarist for Swedish sleaze rockers CRASHDÏET. Together with brother Michael of ToxicRose on drums, Tin Star of Gemini Five on bass, and longtime songwriting partner Linus Nirbrant from This Ending on rhythm guitar, the group has recorded a full-length studio album due later this year. First out is the single ”Not like others”.Martin, who is handling the lead vocals, describes the sound as classic hard rock with gloomy melodies and lyrics.”I have all these songs that don’t necessary fit in to the CRASHDÏET formula, so I figured it was time to work with other musicians. I’ve always sung on my own demos so taking on the lead vocals is nothing new to me. ” - Martin. The yet untitled album was recorded and is currently being mixed in Linus's own Audiogrind Studio. A release date for the album will be set as soon as the band has settled for a suitable label.Background: Martin Sweet has been a member of CRASHDÏET for over a decade with 4 albums and extensive global touring under his belt. Linus, a studio technician and death metal guitarist, has a long history of writing and recording with Martin. They started working on the project as an experiment in 2014 with a goal of recording a simple four-song EP. The project however, was so satisfying that the decision to make an album was inevitable.The band name: Obviously the name SWEET CREATURE is taken from Martin Sweet but it also comes from the devilish character on the single cover art created by A.FYRA.”He’s called Vester and lives inside us all.” - Martin. Sweet Creature to release debut album in October 2016 and on vinyl in 2017.Sweet Creature will be releasing their debut album The Devil Knows My Name in October 2016.Sweet Creature photo 2The group is the brainchild of Crashdïet guitarist Martin Sweet who is handling the lead vocals as well this time around. Rounding out the band is Michael Sweet (drums), Tin Star (bass) and Linus Nibrant (guitar). The debut album was recorded, mixed and mastered by Nirbrant at Audiogrind Studio. The Devil Knows My Name will also be releasing The Devil Knows My Name on vinyl which will be limited to 100 Limited Edition Silver vinyl and 400 Black vinyl. 25 of which will be hand signed and numbered by Sweet Creature. There will be also a limited amount of test pressings for sale. The Blastzone Entertainment version of The Devil Knows My Name will have a different cover and will be available for preorder soon.In addition, Blastzone Entertainment will be giving away one Silver vinyl copy, one Black vinyl copy, one Test Pressing copy and Sweet Creature album coverone surprise.
