Bio:

Destine is Holland’s response to bands such as Paramore, Fall Out Boy and All Time Low. With its distinctive American sound, it seems like only a matter of time before Destine becomes an established name. The debut album ‘Lightspeed’ was released in the Netherlands in February 2010 and was an instant success. The album and singles reached the charts, had lots of radio airplay and the band played the country’s most well known festivals Lowlands and Pinkpop. In November 2010 the album was released in thirteen other European countries. The single ‘Stars’ is on the playlist of all of Holland’s biggest radio stations for over 9 months. Radio station 538 also acknowledges the band’s potential by picking ‘Stars’ as radio smash hit of the week in September 2009. The band’s first two music videos, both recorded in San Francisco, are Youtube-smashers with both more than a million views; ‘ Stars’ has also been nominated for ‘Video of the Year’ at the Dutch MTV-channel. All this attention translates to the ticket sales for their first headlining tour in early 2010, with 12 sold out shows.Back in time. Destine kicks off in 2007 with the ambition to play and work their asses of. They release their first EP and play over 200 shows in 3 years, both domestic and abroad. Besides that they invest a lot of time in their online activities on social and digital media, underlining the direct interaction with their fans. In December 2008 Destine signs with record label Sony Music and travels to Orlando, Florida to record the debut album with producer James Paul Wisner, who worked with bands like Paramore and New Found Glory. He is impressed by the songs and is convinced that the band has the potential of achieving international success.Aside from their domestic shows, the band has a wider focus. They’ve toured in more than 15 different European countries, played with bands like Green Day, Paramore, Fall Out Boy, All Time Low and New Found Glory and have done two full European tours with The Blackout (UK) and Attack! Attack! (UK). When the song ‘In Your Arms’ got featured in the popular computergame ‘Pro Evolution Soccer 2011’ the response from people all over the world increased rapidly. Summer 2011 the band embarks on a tour in China and Japan, with bands such as Mayday Parade. Followed with a spot on Czech Republic’s biggest festival Rock For People.June 2011 the brandnew single ‘Stay’ will be released, produced and mixed by James Paul Wisner and David Bendeth (Paramore, Papa Roach, All Time Low). In October a full headline tour in The Netherlands will take place.

Album:

After a silence period of nearly three years is Destine on May 8 back with the release of their third album Forevermore. The album was made entirely possible by the fans who supported Destine massively in a crowdfunding project. The rock band that from 2007 scored several radio hits, sold out tours did at home and abroad and performed at Pinkpop and Lowlands surfaced soon after the second album 'Illuminate' back in the studio, but this did not feel right. Especially songwriter, singer and guitarist Robin van Loenen needed a period of rest. Destine disappeared a time of the radar. Time in which Robin built his own studio, and produced a lot of music from other bands. The other band members started other bands and projects, which proved very successful. The future of Destine was in jeopardy. But blood is thicker than water. The tire decision in the summer of 2014 to go back to a design from the early years of the last money a house is rented on the account, where the band members live together for a few weeks and work on new songs. To make financially possible the recording and production of the album, the band appeals to their fans. Within 30 days bring fans more than € 20,000 together, and may the shooting started. Singer / guitarist Robin produces the songs themselves. The mixing is enlisted the help of James Paul Wisner, who worked with include Paramore, and also mixed the previous Destine albums.
