The "ETERNAL JOURNEY" is a Progressive Space Metal Project from german guitarist and songwriter Alex Papatheodorou. Influenced by music from artists like Pink Floyd, Dol Ammad, Ayreon or Opeth, a new musical journey will begin!Since the beginning of his musical journey in 1999, at the age of 13, Alex started to love heavy music. His first love AC/DC brought him closer to his musical goals. After playing in bands, he started to record his own ideas in a small basement room in his house. First, there only was guitar and synthesizers, but soon, the songs started to grow and guest musicians were needed.So the musical concept made more and more sense to him. The power of heavy metal, the melodies of folk and psychedelic music and the "spaceyness" of the analog synthesizers. This combination made totally sense to him and made clear his vision.This is no background music. Hopefully you'll need some spins in your CD player to "get" the music.Forget the classic song structures and let yourself go with the music, be surprised and don't expect nothing… take a trip on your "ETERNAL JOURNEY"!After a first Demo recording called "A Space Metal Adventure" (2009) the first full length album was released through the own website. The first Album was called "Threshold of Pain" (2011).Three years later, after studying and working, the new trip through space takes part. 2014 is the year for "ETERNAL JOURNEY"
