Revontulet is a female fronted Symphonic Metal band from Moscow, Russia. The music of Revontulet combines enchanting mezzo-soprano of Alexandra, powerful rhythm section, complex orchestral arrangements and catchy melodies."Revontulet" ([ˈre̞ʋo̞n̪ˌt̪ule̞t̪]) is a Finnish word meaning Northern Lights, literally "Fox Fire". There is a Finnish folk story: a fox in the north runs on the snow, and sweeps its tail so that sparks fly off into the sky. Also in the old Finnish language there is a word resembling to the word "fox", but meaning "to make magic". So, Revontulet is a "Magic Lights" too.Alexandra had always dreamed to create a band since she was 14. And she has been writing music and lyrics ever since (one of that song is performed by Revontulet nowadays). But only in spring of 2008, after few years of studying music, sound producing and vocal, she started to find musicians to form the band. Finally, Juriy Leshchishen (guitar), Sergey Zorg (drums), Alexey Kudryashov (bass) and Alexandra Revontulet met in a rehearsal room on 14th November 2008. It's Revontulet's Birthday! During two next years the line-up changed many times. We are really grateful to our ex-guitar and bass players for help! At last, the line-up was formed in June 2010.In June 2012 the band started recording the debut album.
