Bio:

Musicians from several bands coming together to re-activate a Northern California favorite. Jimmy Tuttle of Vamp Le Stat, Planet Zero and the original Walking Tall, Curt Cassell or Mad Attraction, Damage, and the original Walking Tall, Rob Sundquist of Plex. We will be releasing our CD and playing shows starting in the month of May.Formed in 1995 - this Northern California Favorite received critical acclaim playing national dates with many national acts. The CD was recorded but never released when their label folded in 1999. The band was without a label, but were in negotiations with Columbia when Jimmy had decided enough was enough; Walking Tall was laid to rest, or so it seemed.2010 saw original members Jimmy Tuttle (Lead Vocals/Guitar), and Curt Cassell (Drum/Backing Vocals) revisiting the old material. After much consideration, they decided to re-activate the band. Other original members had moved on and did not return, however was recruited on guitar/backing vocals, and shortly afterward bassist/backing vocalist Rob Sundquist was also brought into the fold. Walking Tall returns in 2011 to finally release the record (with new tracks as well) and play local as well as national musical events. Look for first shows and CD in May 2011.

Album:

Good Time Party Rock with a memorable hook that is contagious to all, Big choruses Great bluesy rock with a great groove. Rock with a southern flavoring and a twist of the classic sound with a hint of New Country.Produced by Frank Hannon of the band "Tesla" - except for "Not How It Turned Out" which was produced by Brian Wheat of the band "Tesla" and mastered by rock legend the late "George Marino" from Sterling Sound. The Walking Tall Debut CD Features "All Over Again", "Not How It Turned Out", Shine On and Bonus Track "Sweet Lady Jane".Bret Santti and James Tuttle met around age 17, then each set off on their own musical paths playing, writing, and fronting bands for decades. Both wrote original songs from the start, learned the business, mastered multiple instruments, and rejected trends to follow their own vision. What they shared was an unmatched drive and relentless determination. After years of hard work, sacrifice, and near-breakthroughs—while watching others fall away—they remained standing. Still driven, still faithful. Ironically, they ended up where they started: face to face, ready to begin again. Each brought a finished, unreleased album to the table. In 2014, they launched Walking Tall, named after James' former band—a motto that fit their grit and mindset: "Hold your head high and walk tall. Never give up, never give in. Be relentless."That summer, they released Walking Tall Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 just months apart. Volume 1 spotlighted James' vocals, songwriting, and musicianship; Volume 2 highlighted Bret's. These releases gave them fresh material while bridging the past and setting the tone for future collaborations.
