Bio:
Steak are from London, UK. Gritz lovin, whore hoppin' mud slingin', if you want fuzzed up stoner grooves, then you want a piece of Steak...Heavy cruisers on route to some generator party or biker freak out in some run down part of town! The new EP Corned Beef Colossus by the heroic UK foursome Steak thunders down the road like Genghis Khan on beer run. It’s the deep rumbling of the bass and the tumbling of the drums that propel these massive grooves forward. This rhythm section is all about keeping the pace moving fast and steady down that main line. Opening up the landscape for the fuzzed guitar and excellent vocals to go wherever the spirit might lead them. Just listen to that psychedelic purr exhumed by the great magnet; and the incredible kicks your having once Acid Dave has sold you his stuff and has you licking his red woolen shirt. This is high energy desert truckin and begs to be devoured whole and on a regular basis. It will surely make you lift off and soar through the sky!
Album:
The British people say that they prefer their steak rare, almost raw food. Here lies ahead, however, an English piece of meat that has been cooked through and previously depended rather well. One could almost say that this thing is really nice and dry. For "dry" is the term that describes the sound of these four young men from London. Here nothing is inflated, artificial anything and pimped nothing."Slab City" sounds like miefendem rehearsal room, beer, sweat and honest work. Dry, groovy stoner rock, inspired by genre greats like Dozer, Freedom Hawk, Fu Manchu or of course the almighty Kyuss, connected with some spacey influences from the psychedelic Monster Magnet corner. The band was founded in 2010 published two EPs so far, the kicked up dust, not only because of its immensely powerful songs but also because of their original comic book artwork, butt which puts a clear concept. The alter egos of the four gang members fight in the comic strips, the evil forces of Evil Lazarus, and these sometimes very humorous stories will of course find their way into the texts.
