Elvenpath stepped into the picture in early 2002, hailing from Frankfurt (Central Germany) with the intention of stretching an overcrowded Metal scene yet a little more. Contrary to the main part of that scene they’d bring something different: heart, soul, passion and damn good songs.Despite everything in their way Elvenpath has persevered since then, releasing four CD’s, playing almost 100 shows, among others sharing the stage with bands like Sabaton,Soulfly,Finntroll,Custard, Majesty, Wizard, Cage and Grailknights, touring Europe twice as support to Skyclad, playing festivals like Dong Open Air (Germany), Metallergrillen (Germany),Taunus Metal Festival (Germany), Up The Hammers (Greece), Rising Fest (France) and gaining themselves a name especially with their very powerful and energetic live show.Elvenpath bears Metal in their hearts which you can easily hear in every single note of their music. Album:

Excellent Power Metal from Germany, this is what Elvenpath, as well as the present newest output "Pieces Of Fate" shows confidence. After his brief visit with the metal opera under the name of Lucid Dreaming, the guys devote mastermind Till Oberbossel back of the head band. Driving rhythms and anthemic if slightly getting used to vocal performance by Dragutin Kremenovic determine the straight opener "Mountain Of Sorrow" before the guitars dominate the equally successful "Battlefield Of Heaven". Furios continues with "Sons Of The Blood Cult" before a child's voice, the calmer designed, but grooving "The Liars Dance" heralds. With the ballad "Testament Of Tragedy" is heard then mostly melancholic features, before pounding in the "Wild Boars Of Steel" the saw would be extracted. Acoustic sounds accompany the short and spherical Intermezzo "Coming Home", then the varied "Sentinel Of The Past" epic nachzulegen. The rousing "Queen Millennia" ultimately makes the way for a strong, low-throwing thirteen minutes epic "On The Elvenpath", thus ending absolutely recommendable concoction.

A band name with elves and a squeaky cover: That can only be cheesy Italo-Tralala-Power Metal, right? But stop! The wake-up call sounds already in the first second of the new album! That breaks all expectations! Elvenpath come from Frankfurt and exist since 2002. The original line-up still includes guitarist Till Oberboßel and bassist Christian Flindt. The band plays Melodic Power Metal and used to be influenced more by the German style. This is still the case today. But the opener "Combat Zone Europe" is amazing: American-style power / thrash metal with sawing riffs, lousy high-pitched vocals and even blast beats! There's a lot happening here, even though it's the shortest song on the album in four minutes! What's going on here? Totally cool! After that it's more like Elvenpath used to: So far on the fifth album there is again Teutonic Power Metal with galloping guitars, great solo runs, a lot of doublebass and hymnic vocals in middle to higher pitches. Sometimes singer Dragutin Kremenovic reminds me a bit about Blaze Bayley. In addition to the typical songs Elvenpath squint but also outside the box: So there are at "Devil's Game And God's Masquerade", the second part of the trilogy "The Litanies Of Lucifer" in the album center, for example, sometimes even one Harp to hear. The highlight of the album but provides the epic, fifteen-minute final track "The Mountain Curse", where the listener with a violin. Women's song and a choir surprised, who set to music right at the beginning of a poem by the late 1970 poet Paul Celan in German and in the canon. Medieval, folky melodies and wind noise make for a rustic atmosphere. hot! A lot is going on on "The Path Of The Dark King"; no wonder with varied songs between five and fifteen minutes. The CD is filled to the top with music. Elvenpath score with rich facets, but without ever losing the much quoted thread. Also playfully this is quite high level. So here is something for every Power Metaller. Incidentally, the clean and fat production delivers no less than Accept and ex-Grave Digger guitarist Uwe Lulis! For fans of Majesty, Wizard, Paragon, Rebellion or Battlerage!

"Faith Through The Fire" can inspire with fast-paced power metal attacks as well as with flawless heavy metal anthems. On the one hand, the musicians don't take themselves too seriously and transport their very own humor on this album in the usual manner. On the other hand, there are also thoughtful songs on Faith Through The Fire such as the epic "Silesian Winter".
