Year : 2018
Style : Power Metal
Country : Germany
Audio : 320 kbps + all scans + Video
Size : 169 mb

Bio:

"Unbowed,Unbent, Unbroken" ... this song title from the new TORIAN album 'God Of Storms' could also symbolize the band's history. Perseverance and unconditional faith kept the German power metal band in the game since its foundation in 2002, and with a lot of passion and enthusiasm, TORIAN have achieved a remarkable status in the underground scene over the years. Now, in 2018 and with their fourth studio album, the band is making a quantum leap: The group around singer Mark Hohlweck never before sounded as sophisticated, infectiously catchy and hymn-like. 'God Of Storms' is a welcome surprise; an album with which TORIAN do not have to hide from international greats in any way. Fans of Orden Ogan, Gamma Ray, Running Wild, Hammerfall and Dream Evil will especially enjoy the treasure that is ‘God Of Storms’.Producer Seeb Levermann (Orden Ogan, Rhapsody Of Fire, Brainstorm), who was brought on board already for the self-released EP ’Phantoms Of The Past’ in 2016, has done an incredible job once again. The ten tracks - which were mostly written by guitarist Carl Delius - shine and impress throughout. Rarely does one get to hear an album that is so catchy, but also shows no signs of wear even after the umpteenth spin. The cover artwork for 'God Of Storms' was created by Claudio Bergamin (JudasPriest, Battle Beast). In addition to the CD, two vinyl versions (clear blue - limited to 250 units; and black) are also available.

Album:

The first release of the new label Ram It Down Records is already a highlight: Torian from Paderborn are already since 2002 at the start and a solid appearance in the underground have already brought it to three studio albums and an EP called "Phantoms Of The Past". The EP from 2015 marked a slight sound correction and had a better production, so I was looking forward to the fourth album "God Of Storms". Again, Orden Ogan head Seeb Levermann has taken on the production and fabricated the choirs, which takes the boys to a whole new level without Torian suddenly sounding very different. But it is striking, in terms of singing, the troupe has audibly increased. A track like "Unbowed", Unbent, Unbroken "sounds a lot like Orden Ogan because of the many choirs, I have to admit that this can not be denied by the whole record, but that's important: Torian sounds rougher and less keyboard heavy than the Sauerlanders It certainly has charm and quality, I would not do justice to Torian if I did not reward it. "God Of Storms" is a thoroughly gripping disc featuring a mega - work, great songs, many anthems and a mega production, Power Metal fans have to strike here!

Album:

"The Lost Legion Rising" is the fifth studio album from the German power metal band Torian, set for release on May 8, 2026, via Massacre Records. As a first taste of the upcoming record, the band has released the single and official music video for “Soul Vampires”. The song is about emotional parasites and the fight to take back what was stolen – your strength, your clarity, your soul. The track moves through driving, anthemic and solemn passages, reflecting the multi-layered lyrical theme. Built around a powerful, fist-raising chorus, the song perfectly captures the renewed energy and sharpened songwriting approach of the band. With their fifth studio album “The Lost Legion Rising”, Torian present themselves with a revamped sound and some of the strongest material of their career to date. Rooted in European power metal and influenced by US metal and thrash, the album combines precision, melody and intensity – always with a strong sense for memorable hooks. The songwriting is more diverse and straight to the point than ever before. From fast-paced tracks like “Warpriest” to anthemic highlights such as “Soul Vampires” and the epic closing piece “Katharsis”, the album showcases a band that sounds heavy, melodic and focused.“The Lost Legion Rising” was produced and mixed by Alexander Thielmann at Room 14 Studio and mastered by Sebastian “Seeb” Levermann (Orden Ogan) at Greenman Studio, ensuring a powerful and crisp sound that fully represents the band’s dynamic range.
