Bio:

Melodic Power / Heavy Metal from Visalia, California, US.Debut album “Odyssey of Fate” will be released consisting of an 8-song tracklist on July 11, 2025.

Album:

On July 11, their debut album “Odyssey of Fate” was released, which is sure to interest fans of the aforementioned bands. This release is definitely not to be missed. The cover alone suggests what we are dealing with - the dragon and fantasy atmosphere clearly indicate power metal roots. And indeed, Exvamon serves us a distinctive, dynamic sound, which perfectly harmonizes with the whole material. The core of the band is the guitar duo Fogg/Fergusson, focusing on speed, feistiness and, most importantly, melody. You won't find unnecessary combinations here - these are classic, proven solutions that will satisfy any fan of the genre.Vocalist Jonah Dacanay also does a great job - he's a typical power metal frontman, with a penchant for high registers, very good technique and stage charisma. He fits perfectly into the band's style, forming a cohesive, well-knit unit with the other members. There may be no flashes of genius here, but we are dealing with very solid, ear-pleasing power metal that is very satisfying to listen to. The entire album lasts only 34 minutes - short, but succinct. We start with the atmospheric intro “Echoes of Serenity”, followed immediately by the energetic “Voyage Unknown” - rightly chosen for the single, because it's a real firecracker. In a similar vein is the more aggressive “Resilient Heart,” with a catchy main theme and an impressive dose of energy. In “Hero, Arise,” the imaginative entrance of the guitars catches the attention, and the song itself charms with its simplicity and upbeat nature. Another strong point of the album is “Duel of Deception,” based on fast tempos and catchy melodies. A slightly slower pace brings “Path to Freedom,” a more atmospheric track with an easy-going message and structure. For the finale, we get two more quick shots - the energetic “Stars of Fortune” and “Life Divine,” which closes the whole thing.“Odyssey of Fate” is an album that impresses with its energy and punchiness. It doesn't sound like a debut - you can hear experience and a sense of style. There's a lot of inspiration from the old DragonForce, which is gratifying, especially at a time when this kind of playing has disappeared from the mainstream.
