Heavy Metal band from the United Kingdom. Originally forged in the East Midlands of England and now established in London, Dethonator are an exciting, four-piece Heavy Metal band. Starting out as teens in the summer of 2002, Dethonator have honed their craft over a decade and a half.If Judas Priest define Heavy Metal, then Dethonator are Damascus Steel; metal forged true with myriad layers of influence drawn from the many stylistic paths explored by their forebears over the past half a century. After 2013’s full length album, ‘Return To Damnation’ and 2014’s E.P, ‘Monuments to Dead Gods’, both self releases, they reissued their self titled first album through Killer Metal Records, Germany, which was remixed and partially rerecorded by the current line-up. This eponymous release features many of their most popular songs to date, such as ‘Harbinger’, ‘Shadows’ and ‘In The Place of The Skull’.After 3 years of writing and recording Dethonator are now set to release their latest album, with Pavement Entertainment Inc. A double album, part 1 is coming soon in the fall of 2018, with part 2 set to appear within the next year.Having earned a formidable reputation for their hi-octane, exhilarating live performances and their immediate, anthemic songs, Dethonator’s fan base has been steadily growing in the U.K. and Europe with many short tours completed and festival spots gained within the last decade.

“When Lucifer Fell,” a harmonious introduction, bringing the hell to the fore. Guitars jagged into beautiful melodies. The East Midlands band bring their thunder to the fore once more. The song jives together well. “Nightmare City,” a harmonious lead guitar duel, brought together with solid melodies to ensure the chaos of metal brings life to something new. “Burial Ground,” is classic thrash metal, with a piercing riff and a shouting vocal melody. “Ulflag,” a snorting growling monster. “Ghost of the Rolling Horizon.” is epic, bringing growling, snorting and snarling together for one hell of a venture.“The Hangman,” a softer, melodical interlude with the heaviness intertwined with the melodical arrangements. “Pyroclastic,” a feel good monster riffer. “Narcisside,” monster melodies mixed together with something all together more heavier and grittier. “Terror By Night,” is pure heaviness. “Sharps Cairn,” a fitting closer with some serious groove and riffage.The album is out on 1st February via Pavement Entertainment.
