Bio:

Bengal Tigers formed in the late 1970s and split-up in 1983, perhaps before their 1984 Cheat On single was released. However, in 1989 the band reformed. In 1999, Peter-Budge left the band.Melbourne’s BENGAL TIGERS are Australia’s premier old-school heavy metal band.Having formed back in 1979, the band was a big part of the scene during the 80s and 90s releasing legendary heavy metal anthems such as 'Cheat On' and 'Break and Bend'.Their 1982 Metal Fetish EP - a 12-inch man sized plaything - is a stone-cold classic and is still revered to this day. Following up with Pain Clinic in ’95, which lauded critical acclaim in the hard-rock & metal scene, and the 3rd offering, In The Blood, in ‘98 - showcasing some killer songs to bang ya head to - balls and all! After a quiet period in the early 2000s, the band has recently returned to career-best form with a constant slew of great live shows and as a new generation discovers the magic of 80s metal, the BENGAL TIGERS are still here to show the kids how it’s done. In fact, the recent buzz earned them a calling over to Germany to be part of the legendary Keep It True Festival in 2024. Other shows followed including dates in Belgium and the UK [including London, at the legendary Cart and Horses].For the die-hard stalwarts, their latest and greatest 10 track album is full of killertracks. CRY HAVOC, the title track, will have fists pumping and horns in the air. It’s a well-crafted album with energy, depth and intensity. Supported with high-energy live performances, the current touring package is having massive impact on fans old and new, at home in Australia, and internationally. The Bengal Tigers pride themselves on peak performances and their ongoing ‘quest to impress’!
