Audio : 320 kbps + front + Video
Size : 168 mb

Bio:

ENEMY INSIDE was formed in 2017 out of Aschaffenburg, Germany by Nastassja Giulia (Vocals) and Evan K (Guitar), who through wide ranging musical experimentation found their own unique sound - somewhere between "Dark Rock" and "Modern Metal". The music strikes a catchy, mystical chord as the powerful female lead vocals are intertwined with aggressive arrangements and catchy hooks.

Album:

"Phoenix" contains eleven unique songs full of hard guitar riffs, melodic guitar solos and breathtaking vocals. Expressive lyrics refine the crystal clear production that together powerfully raise the standards. There is a unifying theme present in the work: "We all carry our greatest enemy inside us. One that we can’t see coming, from whom we can't hide, who can bring our weaknesses to the light". The album mirrors that inner struggle between friend and foe, light and dark, good and evil. It’s every individual's challenge to confront and overcome their own demons. "Phoenix" unifies these contrary feelings and represents the cycle of rebirth, new beginnings and innovation. Introduction: "The darkest hours make us what we are. We all have this voice inside our head, our very own enemy, keeping us from following our dreams. Sometimes we need to forget the past and start over. Like a phoenix, we will rise from the flames. We will set the sky on fire. The heat will vaporize our tears and burn our scars to dust. It is always darkest before the dawn. We are the masters of our minds. We are the enemy inside."Enemy Inside was formed in 2017 out of Aschaffenburg, Germany by Nastassja Giulia (vocals) and Evan K (guitar), who through wide ranging musical experimentation found their own unique sound - somewhere between dark rock and modern metal. Album:

Enemy Inside's first new music since their acclaimed 2018 debut album "Phoenix", which made them one of Germany's most promising newcomers. With their second long player "Seven", the German modern metallers have definitely made a step forward in their sound evolution. Though sticking to their roots with the combination of hard guitar riffs and catchy hooklines, the band strikes with an even more modern sound and surprises with new musical elements such as screams and breakdowns. This makes the record appropriate for metal fans of all ages. The album "Seven" was deeply influenced by the seven deadly sins. It's not about the Christian tradition, but more about calling today's society into question and interpreting them in a more contemporary way. Lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, envy and pride - be they sins or not - can still be applied nowadays. We're confronted with them all the time.

Line-Up:

Enemy Inside - Venom (2025)

ENEMY INSIDE was formed in 2017 out of Aschaffenburg, Germany by Nastassja Giulia (Vocals) and Evan K (Guitar), who through wide ranging musical experimentation found their own unique sound - somewhere between "Dark Rock" and "Modern Metal". The music strikes a catchy, mystical chord as the powerful female lead vocals are intertwined with aggressive arrangements and catchy hooks.

Album:

In an oversaturated market of Heavy Metal bands, standing out is not easy. However, some bands, such as Germany’s Enemy Inside, have become so amorphous that you must pay attention to figure out what might happen next.A project that took shape back in 2017 when Mystic Prophecy Guitarist Evan K joined forces with Vocalist Nastassja Giulia in a quest to create something new. Soon, Guitarist David Hadarick and Bassist Dominik Stotzem joined up. Together, they put together the band’s 2018 debut album, Phoenix, which was largely a mix of Symphonic, Gothic, and Alternative Metal elements.Received positively by audiences, Phoenix racked highly on German and US iTunes Metal Charts. Moving forward, they followed up in 2021 with Seven, an album that leaned a more Modern Metal direction with elements of Symphonic Metal. It also fared well with listeners and received top positions across several countries. With these two releases in mind, Enemy Inside will return in 2025 with a collection of songs completely unique to anything they have done before. Clearly a work in progress, their third album, Venom, honestly sounds like a completely different band in many regards. Set for release on February 28th through Reigning Phoenix Music, the album finds the band exploring various sounds that might take some by surprise.Fortunately, the new sound will not come as a complete shock to the senses because early singles from 2024 such as “What We Used To Be,” “Sayonara,” “Should Have Known Better,” “Fuck That Party” (featuring Sweden’s Clawfinger), “Don’t Call Me An Angel,” and “Dirt On My Name” (featuring Mirza Radonjica of Siamese) were all indication something different was brewing. However, if these songs taught you anything about what their new album might sound like, you should expect the unexpected.Essentially, the album as a whole has a very different feel from song to song and is extremely broad across the spectrum in terms of styles. You have Industrial Metal, Electronic Pop, and even some Hip Hop elements all meshed together with Modern Metal sounds. With this, you also get to see another side of Giulia’s voice, which explores harsher tones and emotions, such as anger and frustration, as opposed to sorrow. Beyond this, the guitars are boiled down to more Alternative Metal breakdowns while many Electronic Pop elements move to the forefront. So the question is, how does it all sound? Well, that depends on one’s personal tastes, which might vary. With that being said, if you are familiar with the six songs already out there, at least you will be able to brace for impact with the remaining four.Taking a sneak peek inside, “Innocent” and “Unburn” are both effective Modern Metal tunes. “Let Me Go” is a straight-up Pop cut with some distorted guitars, while “I’d Rather Be Dead” (featuring Davey Suicide) has a very enjoyable ’80s Synthwave vibe. These songs join the title track, “Venom,” which is pretty explosive and intense.Altogether, ignoring the fact that Enemy Inside’s stylistic shift may turn off some fans would be dishonest. However, if you enter this with an open mind and appreciate that the band is broadening its horizons, you will see that these songs are full of irresistible hooks, crushing rhythms, and fantastic vocals. For the sake of understanding, those who appreciate In This Moment from 2012’s Blood moving forward, Stitched Up Heart, or Butcher Babies will certainly be attracted to the pivot Enemy Inside is making. It is bold when a band seeks to try different things. It shows their ability to take chances, fit what they are looking for, and ultimately have creative freedom. This is certainly what Enemy Inside has done with Venom.
