Hey Folks, it's time for the SNOWBLIND’s glorious returns… After 4 years of a deafening silence they are back with their fifth album… Coming from the legendary land of Greece… The Epic side of their music is still prominent and obvious… ”One Epic Metal Requiem” will not surprise you, it’s still the same alchemy between True Metal with some Underground/Dark/Death/Dramatic touches mixed with testosterone chest-thumping/Metal worshipping plus some epic atmospheres all crafted in the key of Pure Steel dogma… Still leading the band, Mike G. aka Mike Galiatsos (ex NIGHTFALL) provides some raw, grumpy, aggressive vocals and of course, the full guitar panorama with a classic metal riffage tendency and a few shaky melodic lines!The album is built around a stripped atmosphere, the production seems to not integrate the full band with the vocals, that’s the most annoying thing… The sound design seems to be set in a dirty Demo mode…Perhaps an intentional deed!Thirteen cuts including a cover-version of Germany’s underrated RAW SILK “Heroes Don’t Cry” and a re-recorded version of the instrumental “Adagio” as in hidden bonus track, a song based on the famous Albinoni ’s “Adagio in G Minor” that was included in 2007’s Mike G.’s solo album “The Black Gibson Soundtrack” (SR-0031).SNOWBLIND are dedicated Metal Heads, who wave proudly the banner of the True Metal Crusade and are consistently in trying to release faithful material in full orthodoxy, celebrating the solid foundations of the spirit in the doctrine for timeless Heavy Metal set in galvanizing sharp edges and blazing pace, with a downright stubborn determination, even if it sometimes seems a bit rehashed or formulaic and predictable.
