Hannes Jäger, Daniel Tschoepe and Andy Flache (ex-members from german Thrash-Metal heroes SPELLBOUND) have founded MISSION IN BLACK in summer 2010 together with Martin Grimm, who is the former lead guitarist of MYSTIC PROPHECY. Their countdown to success: Four experienced musicians Three outstanding songwriters Two highly respected x-bands One Mission! The “Black Infect” Demo was recorded at the end of 2010 under direction of Axel Heckert in Ludwigsburg at Studio 22 (i. a. Brainstorm, Symphorce). Four straight and punchy produced songs are building the musical cornerstones and represent forcefully the range and extremely high potential of MISSION IN BLACK. Due to private reasons, Hannes and Martin left the band for some time and Daniel and Andy reduced Mission In Black to a studio project...but always looking for the perfect singer to finalize their ideas...they found her with Becky Gaber! She´s got a sensational range in her voice and after having heard the first demos they knew: THAT is what MISSION IN BLACK is all about: Brutality and Melodies in a perfect combination! After doing a lot of re-arrangements and composing they are recording the songs together with Andy Classen at the Stage One Studio to complete the first full length album! Martin Grimm and Hannes Jäger rejoined the band and Mission In Black are back with the Original LineUp together with Becky Gaber to capture the stages again!

Take three musicians of Spellbound, one more of Mystic Prophecy and combine this with piercing female vocals, and you have the perfect thrash cocktail for 2018 in Mission In Black. After founding in 2010, the first demo Black Infect arrived and following various shows with Brainstorm, Mystic Prophecy and Ligea, family and professional changes made it possible to sign the long-overdue recording contract with El Puerto Records in 2016.The band’s debut album, Anthems of a Dying Breed will be released on May 4, 2018, worldwide. For the recording in the Stage One studio, produced by Andy Classen, Mission in Black consisted of the following line-up:Becky Gaber – vocals, Daniel Tschoepe – guitars, Andy “Black” Flache – drums, Martin Grimm – guitars, Hannes Jäger – bass.The result is 13 songs full of energy that combine traditional metal riffs with modern grooves. Brutal growls alternate with sublime vocals and make the songs a real listening experience. “There was no master plan to direct the songwriting from the beginning in a particular direction, but it was and is more important for us to act ‘out of the belly’ and still be ‘head’ in terms of a certain claim to ourselves and not neglect musical level. “ explains drummer Andy “Black” Flache.To make a song explicit is difficult. Having supported the Sea Shepherd organization for years, “Oceans of Blood” certainly has a special meaning. His concerns about marine and animal welfare are processed in this song, which shows that the songs also have a real message. “Lyrics that unite both the personal human abysses, the desolate conditions on our planet but also the ‘Right now!’ feeling and a good deal of revolutionary thoughts,” Flache emphasizes. Welcome to the darker side!The album is a “mixture of brutality and uncompromising heaviness on the one hand and THE hookline and melody on the other”.Anthems Of A Dying Breed breaks the sound barrier like an express train. Female fronted thrash metal at its best!
