Swedish heavy metal band from Nässjö active in the 1980s.AIR BORNE was active during the early / mid 80's. They traveled to UK in 1983 and recorded their one and only single 'In United Kingdom' on the Clubland label. A couple of demos followed before the band folded. Some of the members later reformed as JACKWAVE. AIR BORNE had a reunion in 2010 and played serveral gigs around Nässjö.After being split up for many years, they played a show in Väderstad, Sweden on August 14, 2010.

AIR BORNE from Sweden (Nässjö, Jönköping) is a band quite familiar among metal collectors and fans of 80's music.They have a fantastic raw sound that reminds of the early NWOBHM heroes like ANGEL WITCH, DEMON and HOLOCAUST and this is no wonder as they started playing music in the early 80's.Janne Stark's acquaintance with the original members led to us reaching an agreement with them in order to release an anthology featuring their super cult "In United Kingdom" 7'' EP as well as their 2 demos' songs as bonus tracks. The reissue will also feature remastered sound, band photos and story and will be available on limited edition CD, Vinyl plus digital platforms.Get ready for an amazing Swedish metal release that will apply to all fans of GOTHAM CITY, HEAVY LOAD, OVERDRIVE, AXEWITCH and fans of early NWOBHM.
