Year : 2014
Style : Heavy Metal , Power Metal
Country : Belgium
Audio : 320 kbps + scans + Video
Size : 194 mb

Bio:

Fireforce was founded in August 2008 by former Double Diamond members Flype and Erwin. In februari 2009 the band entered the studio to record a 4 song EP which was produced by Mystic Prophecy singer RD Liapakis...The 4 song EP finally led them to a record deal with 7hard records from Germany. The recordings were done under the supervision of RD Liapakis and engineer Christian Schmid in the Music Factory Prophecy Studio's in Kempten/Germany. The result of the recordings, MARCH ON, was released on 25 March 2011...the metal will rage on! In 2013 the recordings of the new album were started with the same team as before...

Album:

"Deathbringer" is a thoroughly flawless Heavy Metal album with thirteen bright songs that are characterized by catchy, off-going forward riffs, driven by heavy drums and rounded of neck breaking rhythms. An album releases adrenaline and whose passion is manifested in every second of playing time. Is topped the whole of powerful, energetic vocals that give the song a slightly mangy, NWOBHM-esque touch. In this context, the grandiose cover of Tygers Of Pan Tang classic "Gangland" is mentioned, the original is tremendously close to the singer Filip "Flype" Lemmens. From the oppressive guitar work to mention. The almost frantic incipient "Combat Metal" is reminiscent in places of Sabaton without inflated Keyboard walls! "Thunder Will Roll" does not hold a few parallels to Mystic Prophecy ready. Fitted solid oppressive and with a tremendous pace, certainly one of the album highlights. The more anthemic enriched 'To The Battle "draws later in the pace well in advance and should live sure to be a real highlight.None of the thirteen songs can be metallic desired and so there is no question that "Death Bringer" is a more than successful successor to the highly acclaimed predecessor. True and old school metalheads are drawn from the first second of the spell that remains conclusively determine.

Album:

Yielding the flag of war once again, fight the good fight, living and breathing the spirit of traditional Metal music. So what there is more to ask of a set of blazing eyes in the dark, ready to detonate and erupt its next fury? More power and more headbanging till one’s neck is closer to be broken. No matter what, the Belgian Power Metal band, FIREFORCE, will always seek out the next challenge, an upcoming stage to conquer, additional fan warriors at their side to gather. Their new forged steel unraveled within “Annihilate The Evil”, maintains the band’s antics and war historic themed Metal, once again delivered by the Finnish Limb Music. Before heading forward, I suggest that you would gear up, prepare your weapons of choice and look onwards to the battlefield against the evil. For one thing, FIREFORCE have been always true to themselves and to their Metal religion and to the book. Bestowed in “Annihilate The Evil” is another example of their core direction into the heart of Teutonic Metal, and yes they are Belgians I know, but Germany isn’t far away from being an influence. The smoky scorched earth fumes of ACCEPT / GRAVE DIGGER / RUNNING WILD / PRIMAL FEAR / PARAGON / early RAGE and I might add MYSTIC PROPHECY to the blending, is quite noticeable in the depths of the songs, sound and production values. Of course that there is also the overall British Metal effect al’a the melodic signatures of IRON MAIDEN and the robustness of JUDAS PRIEST. Essentially, “Annihilate The Evil” displays FIREFORCE as a constant band that doesn’t hold back anything in their music, delivering a harder than steel crunchy sounded riffs, occasionally taking on the speeding course, bursting with flaming energies while intensifying each of the songs’ moments of truth with impeccable soloing abilities.Probably one of the album’s chief downers is the fact that while sticking firmly to their own thing, which they have been doing since their previous DOUBLE DIAMOND incarnation, several of the songs sounds almost identical to one another, same repetitive form that shares good qualities, yet losing interest rather fast. Furthermore, at times it seems that Filip "Flype" Lemmens is a bit struggling with his voice. I like the raspy tones, almost Rolf Kasparek oriented vocal pattern, with higher noted shrieks from time to time, yet it is hard to escape the idea that there is a form of weariness. Either way, I see no other vocalist suitable to lead this band’s theme, sound and essence.Even though there is that repetitious sense surging the songs, as mentioned earlier in the previous paragraph, “Annihilate The Evil” still gives enough the reasons to take pleasure in a good solid Metal. “Revenge In Flames” conveys bombastic melodic Metal determination, a true catchy iron fist raised in the air while its follower “Fake Hero” lives up to be a sort of a modern RUNNING WILD mid-tempo, taking on the Teutonic grandeur in full swing. The historical “Thyra's Wall” crushes with ample Speed Metal, classic riffery and aggressive attitude. “Defector (Betrayer Of Nations)” relays the story of a defector, I could only guess during the cold war, displaying an amazing main riff and a heartfelt chorus. “The Iron Brigade” is constantly firing the guns, fighting the never ending fight for the greater good of Metal, an energetic speedy Power Metal that wouldn’t shame previous classics. Lastly, there is the cover for ROLLING STONES’ “Gimme Shelter”. It was no less than a good choice to have this version featured in the new album, even if as its bonus. I think it is one of the best covers I have heard to this song, FIREFORCE putting on their fist on the old hit, breathing extra life into it.“Annihilate The Evil” isn’t deprived of intensity, a fearless album that elbows modern trends and kicking out anything that isn’t true to form. This is a solid release that is recommended for any Metalhead that refers to him/herself as that.

Bio:

Guitarist Erwin Suetens formed FIREFORCE from the ashes of the Belgian metal band Double Diamond in autumn 2008. Within a short time, they earned an excellent reputation for live performances. Record labels began taking an interest in the talented Belgians, thanks to their EP “Moonlight Lady”, which was released in Spring 2009. In 2011, this was followed by their debut album, titled “March On”. It was recorded in the Prophecy- and Music Factory Studios in Allgäu, with Mystic Prophecy vocalist R.D.Liapakis (Suicidal Angels, Crystal Tears, Winter`s Verge, Eldritch, Steel Prophet, Jack Starr, etc) as a producer, and released all over Europe. This elevated the band from underground status to new heights. And brought them a small tour with Nightmare and Crimson Glory.Their tight, driving Heavy Metal with clear leanings towards Power Metal did not, however, overlook pleasant harmonic, melodic components. On the live scene, the Belgians had a solid base. They underlined the excellent quality of their album with a series of impressive gigs and tours. One review stated, “Whenever there would be a genre called ‘Combat Metal’, Fireforce would be the leading force!”. And so, the song “Combat Metal” was composed. In 2014, “Deathbringer” was released. It showed that FIREFORCE was not resting on its laurels, but we’re progressing in every aspect of their genre. Once again the album was recorded in the Prophecy- and MusicFactory Studios, in the reliable hands of producer R.D. Liapakis and engineer Christian Schmid.Three music videos were released from this album: “Deathbringer”, “Highland Charge” and “Thunder Will Roll”.Great reviews by the European metal press helped secure shows in Belgium, Holland, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Greece, Cyprus, France, and the UK. At these gigs, the band shared the stage with names such as Tokyo Blade, Crimson Glory, Hell, Mystic Prophecy, Nightmare, Avantasia, Tygers of Pan Tang, Artillery, Rage, Saxon, Ostrogoth, Debauchery, Blaze, Vicious Rumors, Omen, Masters Of Disguise, Salem, Q5, Avenger, Circle II Circle, Iron Fire, Jack Starr, Air Raid, Raven, Manticora, Jaguar, and Hatriot.FIREFORCE even performed twice at one of the biggest indoor metal festivals in Europe, the PPM-Festival in Mons. Their performance at the 2014 edition was one of the most remarkable in the band’s history! In October 2014, a German/Austrian/Belgian tour with Mystic Prophecy and Crystal Tears followed. Following this tour, 2015 and 2016 were spent promoting “Deathbringer” by playing dozens of more shows.2016 saw the recordings of “Annihilate The Evil” by the same studio team as the previous releases. This album was released at the end of 2017. Two music videos were recorded for this album: “The Boys From Down Under” and “Gimme Shelter”.“The Iron Brigade” ep was released on vinyl in September 2019. At the same time, the recordings for the new album started. This album will be released by ROAR records. New vocalist/guitarist Matt “Hawk” Asselberghs was enlisted into the troops, and he brought a whole new dimension to the sound of the band. The instrumental recordings were done at the “Breeze Inc. studios” in Belgium, the solos at the “Hawk Berg Studios” in France, and the vocals at the “Prophecy- and Music Factory Studios” in Allgäu, again with R.D.Liapakis as supervising force. The band’s new offering was mixed and mastered by Henrik Udd (Hammerfall, At The Gates, Powerwolf).A four-piece band now, they will soon be conquering the stages in your neighborhood.

Album:

"Rage Of War" is the fourth album by Belgian heavy metallers FireForce. The album was produced by R.D. Liapakis and Bob Briessinck and with the renowned Henrik Udd behind the mixing and mastering desk, the band rediscovered its tight, driving heavy metal: like a panzer at full throttle! Twelve (ten on the LP version) intensely powerful songs that will definitively put the power in their combat metal. At the same time, many pleasant harmonic and melodic components are sure to make an impression. The concept of the album remains unchanged: historical events through the ages that determined our world today. Battles and bravery, madness and war. "Rage Of War" is a heavy metal call to arms, a powerful combat storytelling amalgam of pounding drums, tight guitar riffing, heavy duty bass lines, lead themes and soloing melodies all around and of course, furious vocals give voice to the war lyrics and describe the blood, the loss and the courage in a battlefield! This record sounds solid, heavy and it will definitely be the heavy metal must have record for all the true metalheads around the world! The combat never ends! March or die!
