Voodoo Sioux are a 4 piece, bass driven hard rock outfit. Hailing from the West Midlands area of the UK, the band have gained a hardcore following from their explosive and mesmerising live performances. Indeed, since a lengthy hiatus, a couple of support slots with Skin and Michael Schenker proved that the fans still wanted more. Encouraged by the live show responses, they went back into the studio and created this, the new album, Grotesque Familiaries. But beware, this music has teeth.. And will bite when you least expect it! Turn it up.. And Chase The Voodoo!

The Voodoo Is Back! After lengthy hiatus of almost twelve years, local rockers Voodoo Sioux are back to perform their unique style of bass-driven hard rock. They will be appearing alongside British rock outfit Skin, at the Wulfrun Hall in Wolverhampton on Thursday 11th June 2009. JB & Nikki from Shifnal and Mario & Nige from Walsall, will be revisiting old favourites from their 1995 album S.K.R.A.P.E. (now available on CD Baby and iTunes), whilst pulling some surprises from their arsenal of earlier material. Constant gigging, both locally and nationally, led to a hardcore fanbase throughout the UK and support slots with Terrorvision, Rockhead and Little Angels. Before signing to Bleeding Hearts/Music For Nations in 1994, the bands accolades included winning the ‘Rock War’ on the Tommy Vance Friday night Rock show on Radio 1 and a 5K demo of the month in Kerrang! Magazine. Nige and JB still play regularly in the area, Nige with Tranzam and JB with Hot Rod 55 and Ebenezer Weazel. The guys promise to deliver soaring guitars, powerhouse drums, surreal swirling vocals – and (for those of you who remember Mario) bass lines that’ll burn your face off! Prepare to Chase the Voodoo once again! writing new material for a new album.....
