What began as lockdown collaboration in 2020 has become a dynamic musical force, rooted in the spirit of classic bands like FM, Journey, Foreigner, and Giant, yet fully charged with fresh energy and modern production.Despite now living in different countries—Dave in Spain and Carl in the UK—the duo has forged a creative partnership through remote collaboration, with Dave shaping the music and Carl penning lyrics and melodies. Together, they deliver a sound that is both nostalgic and invigorating, combining lush harmonies, heartfelt songwriting, and the unmistakable spirit of British melodic rock.To bring their vision to life, they assembled an outstanding lineup. Warren Passaro, a powerful and soulful vocalist from New York City, brings transatlantic fire and finesse. On drums, long-time friend Andy Jakeman provides thunderous, driving energy. with the crown jewel of fanboy dreams coming when Didge Digital, legendary keyboardist of British AOR giants FM, joined the band—adding his trademark melodic textures and deepening the band’s sonic identity.

After making waves with their acclaimed "Elemental" record, UK melodic rockers First Light return with "GRAVITY 2.0" a ground-up reconstruction of their digital-only "Gravity" album, now getting its long-awaited physical release on CD.The original "Gravity" earned a devoted following when it dropped three years ago but was never pressed to disc. Fan demand for a proper CD edition pushed the band to do more than simply repackage the material they chose to completely overhaul it instead.At the creative helm stand Carl Sharples and Dave Hardman, the duo responsible for shaping the First Light sound. Their dedication to crafting top-shelf melodic rock drives every moment of this revamped collection, blending timeless AOR sensibilities with a punchy, contemporary production style.Every guitar, bass, and vocal track has been laid down fresh from scratch. The mixing and mastering duties were handled by Pete Newdeck and Harry Hess, whose expertise delivers a fuller, more powerful sonic landscape across the board.The performances match the ambition - Andy Jakeman locks down a rock-solid rhythmic backbone on drums, Didge Digital paints lush keyboard textures throughout, and vocalist Warren Passaro turns in a standout showing brimming with soul and raw power.Beyond the reworked originals, the tracklist expands with two brand new cuts - "Catch Me When I'm Falling" and "What If" - plus a stripped-back acoustic rendition of "Leave A Light On" from the "Elemental" album, showcasing a different dimension of the band's songwriting.Date of release 21.
