ACTION formed in 1982 with Yoshirou Takahashi as vocals / guitar and Keiichi Otani as bassist.Name in Japanese: アクション.Action began after the disbandment of 山水館, and following the disbandment of Action, its members went on to play in EROS Team "Action" playing covers of classic Action songs and remain active to date.Before their debut, in the spring of 1984, the band performed at the Nippon Budokan and Osaka Castle Hall as the support band for Ritchie Blackmore's RAINBOW.In March the same year, the band debuted with the ‘ACTION KIT’, which included seven major extras such as stickers and posters.The LP ‘HOT ROX’ was released in May. In October, they supported W.A.S.P.Released ‘ACTION KIT 2’ in November and appeared on NHK's ‘Let's Go Young’ and many other music programmes.In May 1985 new album "HEART RAISER" released.Yoshiro Takahashi has provided songs for Ann Lewis and many other artists since this time.In March 1986 album "Warning in the Night" released.In 1987 performs with Anne Lewis, Hidemi Ishikawa and others on New Year's Day in Fuji Television's ‘New Year's Star Hide and Seek’ with Yoshirou Takahashi.In September 1987 album "MOVIN' AND ROCK'N" released.In April 1988 LP ‘OVERLOAD’ and EP ‘PREACHER’ released.In November the same year, the EP Yumemiru korokoro-goshi (Too late to dream) and LP INTERACTION were released.Yumemiru korokoro koete’ became the ending song for TV Asahi's “Tropical Night Sixteen - Sixteen and Sixteen”.In September 1989 new EP ‘Toki wo Koete (Beyond Time)’ and LP ‘Motion’ released.On 21 October 1994, the 10th anniversary of his debut, ‘10th Anniversary BEST OF ACTION 1984-1986’ and ‘10th Anniversary BEST OF ACTION 1987-1994’ were released simultaneously.In the 1998 ACTION suspension.In the same year, Yoshiro Takahashi took part as Bass in The Vampire Strikes Rock, a rock musical by Gekidan☆Shinkansen.In January 2004 appeared as a session member at ‘HARD ROCK SUMMIT’ in Namba Hacth, Osaka.In August, they welcomed Kazuhito Takenaga as a Gt and finally awakened as ACTION at ‘HARD ROCK SUMMIT’ in Shibuya AX.In September ‘MOVIEACTION’ was re-released on DVD by Victor!21 November ACTION 20th Anniversary Live was held at Kobe Chicken George. It was a great success with both fans from that time and new fans gathering. On the same day, ‘ACTION HYPER BEST～20th Anniversary～<CD+DVD 2CD set> was released.From November, Yoshirow's original guitar ‘Nautilus’ is reissued as part of the ESP 30th Anniversary Limited Time Reprint Series!From 26-27 Nov PVs of ‘INTRODUCTION’ and ‘ACTION! 100,000VOLT’ aired 8 times a day on the Q-FRONT Vision above the Shibuya Scramble Crossing. Catch passers-by by surprise! In 22 September 2005 new album ‘GUILTY ROSE’ released for the first time in 16 years! In 2007 ACTION 25th anniversary of their formation and 30th anniversary of ACTION!100,000VOLT! Their true essence evolves further! 7 November Album ‘Mystic Blue’ released!17 November ‘ACTION HYPER ROCK SHOW 2007! at BIGCAT, Osaka.

Led by Yoshiro Takahashi, the band's worldview was hard and pop like no other metal band.With their flamboyant costumes, danceable choreography and catchy lyrics, the band took rock kids by surprise at the time. The musicality that sounded sensational at the time is still fresh today.Japan's call-and-poor-man's-response to Sweet's pop-glam era via Hot Rox opener "Slider". Following the intro cut, the group's 1984 debut album pulls from the American rock scene established by the likes of Ratt, Quiet Riot and Mötley Crüe.
