After many past and present collaborations with bands in the Milan area, last year talented multi-instrumentalist STEVE EMM (aka Stefano Mainini) decided to start his own Melodic Rock/AOR project, simply called after his name.A demo EP immediately caught the attention of STEELHEART Records – the specialized label which releases the ‘Lost Jewels’ series – that offered Steve the chance to complete a full-length album.The result is simply amazing: 10 incredible songs, written, performed and sang out in the vein of the legendary era of the genre, with clear references to bands like Signal, Lion, King Cobra, Fortune, Icon and Streets.The debut-album, “First Strike”, is an homage to a sound that has been part of Steve’s life since his youth and that still is in the hearts of many: classy Melodic Rock / AOR.

In recent time, Stefano Mainini aka STEVE EMM has being doing a very nice work bringing back sweet AOR / Melodic Rock music with the sound rooted in the first half of the Eighties. Now the Italian singer / songwriter / multi-instrumentalist is releasing his third studio-album titled “Framework”, this time with songs fully inspired by the glorious ’80s movie soundtracks.The result is a trip back in time when everyone was dreaming to have “eyes of the tiger”, to dance with “footloose” and to have a friend like “Rocky”.Following his previous two studio albums (“First Strike” in 2021 and “Dangerous Goods” in 2023, both actually sold-out), the new release will give to all the Melodic Rock fans a feel-good time and will put a big smile on their faces.Here’s the retro-sound of the ‘80s re-worked and re-imagined by EMM, a devoted to the glory AOR decade.I mean, take a look at “Framework” cover art… you can’t go wrong with this guy.
