Style : Melodic Hard Rock , AOR
Country : United States
Audio : 320 kbps + all scans
Size : 105 mb

Bio:

Savannah captures the essence of 80s rock. This band sounds like Journey in their heyday.Tight vocals and guitars combined with strong storytelling lyrics makes Savannah a musical blast from the past. Strong vocal harmony throughout the recording (all band members contribute voice as well as instruments) along with killer arrangements makes for a great musical time.Savannah is Earl Lord, lead vocals, Dario DiPietrantionio, guitar/vocals, Mark Dolodziej, bass/vocals, Marty Olga, keyboards, vocals and Tony Silva, drums/vocals.3 albums in discography this band: Savannah (1998) , Salem's Lot (1999) and Forever's Come and Gone (2000).

Album:

Savannah's first great melodic album. This is another good AOR release that has never really gotten a lot of attention.US AOR/melodic hard rock with nice keyboards and big hooks. The lead singer reminds to me a mix of Steve Perry and Ted Poley. A mix of an heavier version of Journey, London Drive, early Danger Danger, Tyketto and Tour De Force. The second half of the album is better, with songs like "Spend A Little Time," "Never Let It Go" and the strutting "Back In Line," but then here comes another marshmallowy ballad (the third, although it's hard to count because many of the rockers sound like they want to be ballads too). They try (and fail) to go out rockin' all tuff and bloozy on "Hardline"; they just sound too fussy and restrained to pull it off.I´ve this cd in my collection since 1998 in japan import. This album reminds me Artica cause the singer have the same voice than the Artica s singer.this album reminds me so norway "Arrival" and sometimes lost weekend. We can divide in three this album. One tracks 1.2.3.6.7.8 are exceptional. It s a top class varied hard FM.Fantastic AOR (1) fantastic ballad (2),fantastic hard rock (6.7.8.3).the second part (track 4 and 5) is classic AOR, great but nothing extraordinary. The last part , the end of the record (track 9.10.11.) is very weak.Track 9 is a pop (limit variety ballad),track 10 a very very poor rock n roll song. And the "Ice on the Cake" is the japan bonus track n°11 a long long (more than six minutes). In short nevertheless I recommand this CD because the great is superior to the bad. These guys are trying to keep 80's AOR alive.

Album:

Savannah's second live album.Recorded on February 5, 1999 at Giles Cafe in Salem, Massachusetts, USA.Excellent live release by a band that knows how to write good commercial hard rock music and that offers many hooks!this live is mostly acoustic ,but the vibe and the atmosphere that creates is very strong and hard rockin!the vocs are pretty good and passionate and the band seems to enjoy it! If You like this band I suggest you pick this up for cheap. The 2 new songs on this sound awesome here, and it's a good live disc.Great band, shame to see them go.

Album:

3rd full-length album.Another impressive release from Savannah, who find themselves as one of the few American bands that are recording anything that compares to former stadium fillers Firehouse and early Danger Danger. An album that picks up where they left off last time and improves it on almost every front, with a small mention to the production in places. Fans of commercial 80's influenced American stadium rock will love this. Their fans base established with their debut should only grow with this release.Savannah sets the tone right from the opening track of their CD *Forever's Come & Gone*: The song sounds like a full-fledged AEROSMITH number, thereby establishing groovy heavy rock and bold vocals as the cornerstones within which SAVANNAH aims to establish itself. Although the following song, “All Or Nothing,” introduces plenty of keyboards and “oo-hoo” backing vocals, shifting the sound slightly toward melodic rock or AOR, SAVANNAH’s earthy element remains intact. That they can also craft catchy tunes is proven by track number three, titled “Last To Know.” In short: SAVANNAH present themselves as a versatile band and have also been given a great sound by Michael Sweet, so for fans of melodic rock, almost nothing can go wrong with “Forever’s Come & Gone.”
