Bio:
The band Seraiah was formed in 1985 by drummer Kyle Dietz and guitarist Quinton Gibson (who would later join the band Whitecross). After several changes in its line-up, the band settled with vocalist Brad Beckey and bassist Trace Ferrie (who would later play with the bands Whitecross and Stryper and in Michael Sweet's solo career). In 1988, they released a demo that caught the attention of the record label Pure Metal, and in 1990, they signed on to release their debut album, Carnival World. The album was very well received by the public and critics alike and featured the hit single ‘Rise Up.’ The following year, they toured throughout the United States, building a solid fan base.In 1992, Trace left the band and was replaced by Kirk McKinley, and the band recorded their last self-titled album. The album managed to place two hits in the Top 10 on the radio with the singles ‘No More Lies’ and ‘Time for a Change’.In 1992, the band also opened for Stryper on their ‘Can't Stop the Rock Tour’.

Seraiah fans can dive deeper into the legacy with a companion collection titled DEMOlish This, featuring SERAIAH’s earliest demos, complete with a deluxe booklet and a treasure trove of rare and never-before-seen photos capturing the band’s formative years. Before Carnival World introduced SERAIAH to Christian metal fans around the world, there were the demos.DEMOlish This opens the vault to reveal the band's earliest recordings, documenting the creative foundation that eventually led to one of the most respected underground Christian metal releases of the early 1990s. Recorded during Seraiah's formative years in Indiana, these performances capture a hungry young band refining the songwriting, musicianship, and melodic metal style that would soon help earn them a recording contract with Pure Metal Records.Rather than simply collecting old tapes, Eonian Records has assembled a true archival release. The recordings have been professionally restored and remastered and are presented alongside a deluxe booklet featuring rare photographs and historical material celebrating the band's earliest years. The result is a fascinating look at Seraiah before the studio polish of Carnival World, revealing the raw energy, creativity, melody, and ambition that made the band one of the Midwest's most exciting Christian hard rock and heavy metal acts.Listeners will hear material that captures Seraiah in the process of developing its sound, from powerful melodic hard rock to heavier metal-driven moments. These recordings provide an intimate glimpse into the songs, rehearsals, and creative foundation that helped shape the band.Whether you're a longtime collector, a fan discovering Seraiah through Carnival World, or simply interested in the roots of one of Christian metal's overlooked gems, DEMOlish This is an essential historical companion that shows exactly where the Seraiah story began.
