Marylane is an eclectic rock trio based in Sweden, formed in 2023 to share and develop musical ideas. Their debut ,"Winners Write History," was released as independent artists in 2024.After that, the band has continued to explore and experiment, resulting in their latest project, "Seventh Sense," partly recorded, mixed, and mastered at Andy La Rocque´s – Sonictrain Studios, to be released July 17:th 2026. "Seventh Sense" presents a more varied and heavier soundscape than their debut, as well as a further development of their visual aspect. It also marks their first collaboration with Patrick Ullaeus, who directed the single "Doreen".

The album was mixed & mastered by renowned producer and guitarist Andy La Rocque (Lex Legion, King Diamond) at Sonic Train Studios, bringing a polished yet dynamic sonic landscape that perfectly complements MARYLANE’s energetic approach.The band blends vintage rock sounds with modern production. ”Seventh Sense” embodies Rock in the fullest sense of the word—drawing on melodic hard rock, blues, rock&pop and eclectic touches. The female vocals of Mary Marylane give the album a fascinating personality, transporting you back to the voices of singers from the ’70s through the ’80s.Once again, the Swedes show exactly what pure Rock is, without unnecessary extras, focused and with every song interesting in its own right.From the opening track “Seven” to the closer “Back to Back,” this is an album that knows exactly what it wants rhythmically. The bluesy elements are sharply defined, and in songs like “Midnight Wheels” you catch almost progressive ideas—showing how rock can blend with other styles without ever needing to turn pop (even though it briefly did, once upon a time).That interplay works beautifully with the band’s overall sound, where the keyboards and arrangements are strong and tightly connected.Take “Doreen,” for example. It carries a slight modern air, yet the background keys belong to rock’s golden era, ultimately dominating the track. The song delivers a familiar Rock feeling, however MARYLANE add their own touch.Meanwhile, “Angel” feels more expansive in its melodies but retains a certain darkness. Even the guitar distortion grows heavier and rougher at times, striking a perfect balance between subtle heaviness and broader appeal. It works, leaving you fully satisfied.The occasional masculine vocals fit seamlessly, adding depth and weight. This is one of those albums that’s well‑balanced within its own universe, far superior to what some consider “Rock” today.MARYLANE is a very interesting band, different, and good.
