Paul Daniel "Ace" Frehley (/ˈfreɪli/; born April 27, 1951)is an American musician best known as the former lead guitarist and founding member of the rock band Kiss. He took on the persona of the "Spaceman" or "Space Ace", and played with the group from its inception in 1973 until his departure in 1982. After leaving Kiss, Frehley embarked on a solo career, which was put on hold when he rejoined Kiss in 1996 for a highly successful reunion tour.His second tenure with Kiss lasted until 2002, when he left at the conclusion of what was purported to be the band's Farewell Tour. His latest album Anomaly, was released on September 15, 2009.Guitar World magazine ranked him 14th Greatest Metal Guitarist of All Time.

His fluid, melodic leads and space-age swagger powered landmark albums and anthems that reshaped hard rock. After departing KISS, Frehley forged his own path with FREHLEY’s COMET and a steady run of solo releases, reinforcing his reputation as a guitarist of rare feel and personality. His career spanned five decades, ending with his passing in October 2025, and left behind a legacy that continues to inspire players and fans worldwide.In the years following his final exit from KISS in 2002, ACE FREHLEY embraced the freedom of the solo stage. His live shows became celebrations of his entire catalog, blending classic riffs with new material that proved his creative spark remained undimmed. This period culminated in 2018 with the album ‘Spaceman’, a creative peak that reaffirmed ACE FREHLEY as a singular voice in hard rock, delivering inspired solos and marking a reunion with Gene Simmons on two tracks.Just one month before the release of ‘Spaceman’, FREHLEY returned to Japan to perform before a feverishly appreciative audience. Recorded during his residency at Billboard Live Tokyo on 4 September 2018, and broadcast on local radio, this performance captures Frehley at a moment of triumph.The setlist draws freely from every chapter of his career, from iconic KISS songs to FREHLEY’s COMET favorites, solo staples and a selection of well-chosen covers.
