MarysCreek was founded by Mats Nilsson in 2004 with the sole intention to create a band blending the modern heavy rock of today with the Swedish tradition of strong melodies catchy choruses. Demoes where sent to various labels and after negotiations the band signed their record deal with the German major label, MTM. The members of the MarysCreek team continued their work with their debut album.To supple the bands material with the necessary heavy sound, demon producer Fredrik “Fredman” Nordström (In Flames, Soilwork, The Haunted, Opeth and Dream Evil) was engaged for mixing the album. By September 2006 his work was done and MarysCreek had their debut album in their hands. “Some Kind of Hate” was released mars 24th, 2007 and received great response and the band toured to support the album.After changes in the line-up, MarysCreek is, as of today constituted by Mats Nilsson (v), Roger Blomberg (b), Peter Bergkvist (g) och Jonas Hallberg (g) and Stefan Halldin (d). Their sophomore album is now recorded, this time with the help of the two producers Henrik Edenhed (Robyn, Straight Frank, Cesars Palace, Dead By April etc.) and Sebastian Forslund (Staireo, Night Flight Orchestra etc.). The two producers have backgrounds as metal fans but with broad musical experiences from diverse musical contexts, flavouring the sound of the new songs in the best possible way.MarysCreek courageously blends modern heavy metal with the classic melodies of Scandinavian pop tradition to form a fresh and unique sound. The ambition is to take the best of the two worlds: a heavy rock foundation consisting of fat, distorted guitars and huge drums with a delicious topping of pop-flavored song melodies arranged with multi layered vocal arrangements.

Formed in 2004 in Mjölby / Linköping, Sweden, MARYSCREEK was born from a shared vision between singer/guitarist Mats Nilsson and drummer Stefan Halldin: to create heavy, guitar-driven rock with strong melodies and soaring choruses. The band quickly made an impression with their debut album ‘Some Kind of Hate‘ on the now legendary label MTM Music in 2007, a record that took them across Europe and established their signature blend of hard-hitting riffs and emotional intensity.After line-up changes and a self-released EP, MarysCreek continued to build a loyal following through relentless touring, sharing stages with acts such as S.O.T.O, Takida, Evergrey, Uriah Heep, The Poodles, Bonfire, Hardline and many more.In 2016, MarysCreek signed with Escape Music for their second full-length album ‘Infinity‘ a critically acclaimed release that showcased the band’s evolution into a more mature, melodic yet powerful sound.Despite setbacks, line-up changes, and the global pandemic, MarysCreek never lost momentum. With Anton Wessman now behind the drums, and long-time members Mats Nilsson, Jonas Hallberg, Roger Blomberg, and Alexander Eriksson driving the creative force, the band has completed their long-awaited new album “The Beginning Of The End”.This new album marks a new chapter for MarysCreek, one that blends experience with renewed passion, melodic strength, and the unmistakable energy that has defined the band from the start. This new CD is dominated by heavy riffs, a sound heavier than before balancing hard-hitting melodic hard rockers with smooth passages and strong melodies.
